Other Things to Note
As an independent business owner in the heart of our quirky City and as a smitten longtime resident of Tacoma, I can offer a unique perspective of our beloved and often misunderstood "Gritty City"
and I know where all the really swell things things are and delight in discovering the new offerings too!
Comfortable user friendly home - things you may need to make your stay for comfortable are easy to find!
There is delightful front porch that is sheltered and quite cozy. The back porch and yard while not large is spacious enough to spread out in the hammock or dine el fresco at the picnic table. Feel free to use the grill and say 'hi" over the fence to the neighbor's St. Bernard named Fletcher - he is a doll!
Smoking is permitted in either of these spaces and there are comfortable chairs to relax in and shelter from the weather. 420 friendly!
There is a recycling bin and a food compost bin that supports our neighborhood community gardens - if there is harvestable food from our garden please enjoy it!
Parking is easy - right out front - and free!
Our resident old lady kitty, Joyce, likes to sneak out on sunshiney days, please make sure she returns inside as you leave!
Dresser, end tables and spacious closet provide excellent storage to make yourself right at home here!
Cute house and lovely neighborhood! Cheri was very friendly and her house is comfortable. Also, her cat is super cool. Very friendly!
Cheri's place is artful, lovely, warm, funky, comfortable and airy. Also an excellent value for less than 80 clams. It was easy communicating with her, and even her cat, Joyce, was very friendly. We'd come back when we're in Tacoma. Her place is close to a downtown area with a live performances theater and some eateries. A public park is one house away.
Cheri welcomed us warmly and her home was a comfortable and relaxing space as we wound down our two week vacation. She is so attentive to every detail - bringing a candle to the front porch after the sun went down, setting out a cooler of beer and limes before we arrived, and generally making us feel welcome in her home. She had great suggestions for what to do and where to eat nearby in Tacoma and I wish we would have been able to stay an extra day!
We loved how open, warm, and helpful Cheri was, but still with a hands-off hosting style (hands-on, if you wanted a massage). Really nice old character home. Would stay again!
Cheri was a wonderful host! Excellent communication throughout. Even though she was not home when I arrived, I was easily able to drive right to the home, find parking and get myself in and settled. The room was as pictured and comfortable with easy access to a bathroom, even though I was sharing the floor with another guest.
I finally met Cheri the next evening, and she is a lovely person. If I have any regret, it is that I wish my schedule had simply allowed me more time to spend chatting with a wonderful house of individuals! I would stay there again in a minute if I am back through Tacoma.
My stay at Cheri's was wonderful. She is helpful, kind, full of good ideas and positive energy. The other guests were also fun to meet. Our room was lovely with a very comfortable queen bed, and the house is a serene delight with books and artworks everywhere. There were 2 baths, plenty of hot water/towels/etc, a nice kitchen to use, and pleasant out-door eating/relaxing spots. Really no negatives at all. Highly recommended!
It's a pleasant stay. Very easy to park all day long right in front of the house. The room looks just like the photo posted and the price is fair! Recommended!

About the Host, Cheri
I love living in Tacoma and exploring the Pacific Northwest and beyond! It delights me to share my whimsical space and offer deeply relaxing in-home massage and spa experiences! Licensed as a Massage Practitioner for over twenty years sessions are available for fee and subject to availability, planning ahead is helpful but I can be spontaneous if you catch me at home!
A lover of nature and a curious explorer I usually have some kind of camera on my body, that is when I'm not in the water, my home away from home!
I'm currently working (playing!) on curating a photographic and mixed media gallery of my artistic expressions!
A special gift left by a guest really describes me best...
Everything warm...heavy quilts, red wine, naps, fires, strong coffee in heavy mugs
Everything soft...pillows, flow curtains, cats, skin
Everything strong...hands, intentions, feelings, desires, words, colors
Everything fragrant...food, flowers, candles, damp earth
