About this listing
Our place is in a very centric, safe, and convenient location, right next to the subway line and just 5 minutes walking distance from Plaza Universidad, La Rambla and Rambla del Raval. Also close to lots of great bars and restaurants, Plaza Catalunya, cultural attractions (MACBA, CCCB…), or traditional places like la Boqueria market or Barri Gotic, etc., and Sant Antoni market, where you can buy lots of fresh food.
The apartment is a relaxed and creative space with three bedrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, a complete bathroom, and two sunny balconies, fantastic for tanning or relaxing after a long touristic day. It's located in a second floor without elevator, but with wide and comfortable stairs.
The bedroom has a brand new double bed, and an optional single bed, if needed, and is comfortable for three. It also has direct access to the balcony. We offer free and fast wifi connection, and we'll help make your stay comfortable in Barcelona.
If you have any further question, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me, and I will do all my best in order to inform you as good as I can.
See you soon! : ]
Feel like you're at home, the most important rule to follow is the respect for those who are staying in the house and those living around, Keep noise to a minimal especially late at night/ early in the morning. I have a no noise policy after 22:30.
- Before booking, inform me about the time of arrival to Barcelona. I have a late check in fee of 10 euro after 23:00 and 20 euro after 01.00
- Only guests from airbnb are allowed to be in the apartment. (For exceptions talk to me first)
- keep the common areas clean after using it.
We were three persons staying for 6 nights at Hernáns place. There is a big bed for two persons and for the third person there is either a sofa bed (instead of the bed on the pictures) or a mattress (underneath the bed), we chose the mattress. So with the mattress on the floor there was not much space left, but it was fine since we didn't spent that much time in the room. Also there is a small balcony that you can use. There was a small table in the room (not in the pictures), a simple clothes rail and a mirror.
In the flat there is one bathroom for all the people, which was a problem sometimes, especially in the evenings (in two other rooms there were also people staying there with airbnb), so there can be some waiting time. We were free to use the kitchen and the fridge as well, so that was a nice thing. Also there is a living room that we were allowed to use as well.
One plus is the location of the flat. We were inbetween the metro stacions Universitat and Sant Antoni (both at most 5 minutes by foot away). Also you are really close to La Rambla (about 7-10 minutes), from there you can just walk all the places in Barri Gòtic. Plus Raval is just around the corner. So we walked a lot around and just enjoyed the surrounding.
One thing that was really nice too was that we were allowed to let our baggage in a storeroom, which means we could still enjoy the last hours in Barcelona without all the bags luggage.
You should know that the place is more like a hostel, so it is not like spick and span all the time and there can be some noises (pretty thin walls), but still all in all our stay in Hernáns place went nice.
Hernan welcomed us very friendly. The flat is super nice and the room huge. As he invited us to, we felt at home immediately. The flat is very clean and the bed is good to sleep in. :)
The non-plus-ultra for us was the small balcony we had breakfast on almost every day. The only thing is, add the location is very central, you should bring ear plugs for sleeping if you have a light sleep, because I now see Barcelona as the city that never sleeps. :D
Anyway, the location is amazing. You have two different metro lines in walking distance, MACBA is almost around the corner and la rambla is also just a five to ten minutes walk away.
Hernan himself is really friendly and nice and helpful with every tip you need.
I highly recommend staying there! :)
Hernan is very kind and helpful! He had provided us with all the information we need. We had a good chat. The location of the apartment is very nice, very near to Metro station, La Rambla is just within walking distance. Except that it would be quite noisy because the apartment is in the centre of everything. But still fine for us. The only problem is that there's a few rooms to share with in the apartment, but there's only one toilet with shower room attached. So when the house is full, it's quite a problem to queue for the toilet/shower. But overall is still a great stay! I would still recommend this!
