There are great restaurants and a handful of bars within walking distance. A 15 minute walk will bring you to PS1, a satellite museum of The Metropolitan Museum of Art (MoMA). It has great, funky pieces of art from cutting edge (website hidden)1 also host great summertime parties called "The Warmup Sessions" with international DJ's. A little further on is the Pulaski bridge connecting to Williamsburg and Greenpoint.
Street parking generally opens up by 4pm. There are also parking lots within three blocks charging between $7-12 for the day.
We pride ourselves in going above and beyond for our guests. If we can accommodate you, we will :).
As the managing director of The Lodge, my offices are in the basement so I'm always a flight of stairs away and as a native New Yorker I can suggest places to go, things to do and point out cool little spots that only New Yorkers know about :).

The place is exactly like how it is listed. Aram is a great host and I enjoyed my stay at the lodge. There is plenty of amenities and room for a very good price. I will not hesitate to use this place again.
lovely, warm and comfortable
great as its close to the train. very convenient
The Lodge was indeed an awesome to stay at for a visit to New York. It is convenient as it is near New York City. It has well maintained facilities, like a good wifi, kitchen with the necessary equipments and the washing machine and dryer.
The host, Arahm was friendly and nice. He will go the extra mile to ensure that the facilities are working fine and the house is in a good condition.
Hence, the Lodge is definitely a good place to stay in while traveling in New York City. I would certainly recommend this place to others to stay in if they are traveling in New York City.
We are a family with 3 kids and we went to NY during Christmas time. We arrived very late in the evening and Aram arranged to received us and provide all necessary support. The flat was very warm and ready for us. It was very clean with all necessary equipments. The day after we discovered it was also very close to metro and in few minutes was possible to reach Time Square. It's perfect for families or group of friends. I will recommend for sure to my Italian friends.
This a perfect location to visit NY! With several metro lines 5 minutes walking from the Lodge, you can get anywhere in Manhattan very easily.
The Lodge is spacious and appropriate for big families as well as a big group of friends. Everyone can get the privacy they need.
Our party was composed of my parents, my sister, my 2 kids, my husband and myself. It was easy to come and go according to our different rhythms. The kitchen is the central room and provides a great place for those awake while others are sleeping.
Everything you need is there. Even some toys for the kids. Aram is very welcoming and available if you need anything.
I recommend heartily this location. It's a great value.
Aram's apartment was a great option for staying in NYC. Very close to the Queensboro Subway stop, and very convenient to reach downtown Manhattan. The apartment itself was very clean and spacious. There is a nice outdoor space as well which I imagine would be great in the summer. As a host Aram was very easy to coordinate with and very fast to respond to the reservation request.
Aram was a great host with excellent communication and wonderful accommodations.
This was a great place to stay! We needed a place that would accommodate 4 or more for 5 nights, and we new that a hotel in the city was going to cost a lot, but this place was a perfect price. It was also very spacious and very close to the subway, making it easy to get to the city. We were 4 and it was perfect for us!
The host was very welcoming and funny!
Would I rent it again...yes I would!
Thanks for the great stay!!!
My family and I came into town to celebrate our mother's birthday, and we had a great time staying at The Lodge. Aram was always very responsive, responding to emails and texts within a half-hour or less. He was very warm and friendly when we met. And The Lodge is great! We were 5 people staying there, and we were very comfortable. And the location is fantastic--it's right at the base of the Queensboro bridge, steps away from the subway and a quick cab-ride into the city. There's not a ton happening in the immediate neighborhood, but that's no problem--we had a busy itinerary, and we welcomed coming back to a cozy place without a lot of traffic.
Checking in and checking out were very easy, and Aram was extremely flexible with us for both, because he didn't have anyone coming in immediately afterwards. But he could easily have been a stickler for the rules, and instead he was understanding and accommodating. Highly recommended, particularly for families!
