Prior to getting there, Catherine welcomed us via Air B&B emails. The place is about a kilometer up a glen from the main road, well marked with signs to lead us the whole way. Catherine was there to greet us as we arrived. She showed us around. The place is new, well appointed, roomy and clean, with a beautiful view down a lush pastoral glen. The large common area upstairs is comfortably appointed with comfy couches for lounging, an outdoor deck with seating, tables and chairs for breakfast. The common room has a large flat-screen tv and a pool table, also. Catherine is a wonderful cook, attentive to detail. The Irish breakfast is authentic, complete with black and white puddings. An extra bonus is that she keeps lots of information guides on hand for people new to the area, including maps and tourist information. We highly recommend the place to anyone that asks. We would stay there again.

I would absolutely love to stay with Catherine again in her beautiful B&B! The room was great and breakfast the next morning was lovely. The view from upstairs is just breathtaking, and her dogs are hilarious. Loved talking with Catherine as well.

The stay at B&B Ballyshannon was amazing! The place is out in the country, but very easy to find. Catherine was an exceeding helpful host. She was a wealth of knowledge about the area and set us up with surf board rentals, restaurants, money exchange and even reflexology practitioners in Galway! Her home was a brand new beautiful modern style place and she ensured that we were well taken care of

How does one quantify Paradise? Our first experience of an Airb&b at Catherine's palatial home set us off on a high note! From the friendly hug at the doorway, to "Hennessy " and "Tilly's" enthusiastic greetings whilst showing off their new 8 cuddly Labrador puppies, welcomes don't come much more genuine! The interior matched the exterior's fulsome promise, ( That driveway is to die for Catherine,:-) ), tiled floors and high class timber doors and a staircase and first floor landing straight out of a top notch carpenter's catalogue. The room and the attached en suite bathroom continued the tasteful excellence, and the walk in shower was style and functionality combined in glistening ceramic tiles, chrome and glass. For me, the shower can make or break a B&B's experience, this one simply worked and worked well. The bed was warm and comfortable and provided two weary travellers with a good night's sleep on both nights One dines upstairs here, in an extensive combined dining, TV lounge, ( with its giant size TV set!) and games room. A stunning Westerly view from the adjoining sun terrace complements Catherine's culinary skills, with a breakfast which kept the hunger at bay for most if the day! All this excellence at a low, low, price was the 'icing on the cake' ( or was that when "Tilly" came to scrounge some biscuits from our window :-) ?) Whenever we're back in Donegal we'll definitely be back and this time we'll steal one of those cuddly puppies!
