These guys are great! Really welcoming, fantastic apartment, fun from the start. Was only there for one night but Laurette directed us to a great bar/restaurant and done the same for breakfast. Thanks guys!
Dave and Laurette's loft is beautiful and exactly as pictured. Though we arrived late Laurette was awesome, recommending places to eat and ensuring we were settled.
The downsides: the room faces the road and trains go by all night honking (there must be a crossing) which kept us up the majority of the night. Also the room was super chilly and though there was a portable heater it was too loud to keep on all night.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
Stylish place, welcoming and interesting hosts (though I'm not sure their moustaches were entirely genuine) in a really central, fun bit of town.
We had a ball and would love to come back and stay again one day. Look us up in London when you've got all the requisite paperwork, guys - we'll show you the English versions.
The reservation was canceled 29 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Dave and Laurette were excellent hosts! Their place is centrally located and it is very easy to get around to the rest of Houston using public transit.
We were lucky to have had such gracious hosts and such a relaxed environment for our very brief pass through Houston. Dave and Laurette made sure we were comfortable and also managed to ensure we made the very best use of our limited time in this interesting town - we had a great morning aand early afternoon with good food, music and local culture thanks to them! Cheers
I had a simply wonderful time with Dave and Laurette in Houston. Their place is even more lovely than the pictures show, mainly because of the sense of home they have created in this very COOL downtown loft building. It's filled with treasures and art and their incredible collection of costumes and board games and books. I just wish I could have spent more time getting to know them and exploring their little world. I will definitely stay again when I am back in Houston. The guest room is big and bright, with lots of windows, and the bed is very comfy. The bathroom and kitchen are super clean and well stocked. Everything is super clean, actually. And the best part is the cats! Radio and Pigeon were sweet and cuddly, and great company. Thank you, guys!
Artist, musician, performer. We do lots of things. Mountain biking, canoeing, hiking, camping, anything outdoors. We love it.
