My name is Mary. I am a designer/maker who works from home in Newcastle Co Down.
I have a spare double bedroom which is available to rent. I can sometimes rent a second room in the house.
The house is a semi detached period home. It's very bright and clean. It is located just off the main street in Newcastle, on a quiet pretty road with views of the mountains. The beach and promenade are a three minute walk away.
Everything you will need - shops, cafes, restaurants are a few minutes away from the house. The Royal County Down Golf Links and the Slieve Donard hotel are a five minute walk from the house. Meanwhile you can access the Mourne Mountains through Donard Park which is a fifteen minute walk away. The bus station is a five minute walk with links to Belfast, Dublin and elsewhere.
Off street parking is available.

This is a clean, considerate, respectful house.
No major noise after 11pm as I like my sleep!
Also I'd prefer if you smoked outside.
Mary is a fantastic host! She is very welcoming and we are really happy that we stayed with her some days. The house is perfectly located and very cosy with the open oven. Mary even made breakfast for us. She is superduper!!! Thank you, Mary!
This was my second time staying with Mary and again she was the perfect host making me feel very welcome.
Mary was absolutely lovely!! We loved her house, especially the fireplace in the evening and our talks together! Our experience was brilliant: delicious breakfast with fresh fruit, a very clean room, a good location and last but not least a perfect host! Thank you!
Brilliant. Mary is ace, and a chat with her or her mum is a treat. You'll be looked after.
we spent our first night in ireland at mary's. she and her mother made us feel very welcome and we had a good chat. the room was nice and comfy, bathroom was clean and good after the long travel. amazing location in lovely and beutiful neecastle, central yet quit. recmonded base for mourne mountain and down.
Everything was great! The house is just in the centre of town but in a quiet area. The house and bedroom are cosy and beautiful. The breakfast was incredible and Mary was the perfect host.
I missed my bus in my way to the house and Mary and her mother were very helpful. They waited for me even when I was quite late. I had a tea and scone welcome at my arrival.
Mary is great and very easy going person. I loved the chats we had.
Though we only stayed for 1 night with Mary, we could soon discovered she. is an extraordinary woman with a great will to help others. So her mum is a fabulous woman too. We would have liked to stay longer at their place and get to meet them closely.
Thank you a thousand both!!!
I'm a thirty year old creative. I recently moved back to my home town to start my knitwear business.
I love having nature on my doorstep - I enjoy walking in the mountains and cycling the promenade. I'm into the arts, books, music, cooking healthy food, the outdoors and good conversations!
My studio is in the house and I'm up early working most days. You can make yourself at home and avail of breads, jams, porridge, tea, coffee etc in the kitchen.
I love meeting new people and you'll find staying here informal and friendly.
