The Space

The B&B is ideally located in the heart of Venice in Cannaregio district in a historical building with private court yard and ancient well.
It is very close to the major waterbus stops and the famous places such as Rialto Bridge, St. Mark’s Square, Museums and Art Galleries, as well as restaurants, bars, grocery stores and shopping areas.
I’ll be delighted to help you and get the best out of your Venetian experience, providing valuable tips and advice about the city.
My house is quiet, comfortable and clean. The generously sized bedrooms are carefully decorated to give you a comfortable stay. Some of them has the canal view.
Go back to my profile to see the rooms available, I’m sure you can find the best solution for you!
I would like to point out that for arrivals after 8 pm, there is a supplement of Euro 20
to be paid on arrival as the City tax.

VENICE IN EVERY SEASON:
Winter: no problem with ‘Acqua Alta’, we deal with it! On flooding time you can walk on the raised walking platform or wear the rain boots. ‘Acqua Alta’ follows the tides, therefore remains only for a few hours a day.
Spring: the best season to me for visiting Venice, it seems that the city is waking up, flower gardens, plants on balconies and so much to see: museums, art exhibitions and outdoor markets for collectors and antiques enthusiasts.
Summer: Lido’s golden sanded beaches are a great hideaway to enjoy the sun and sea. You can head to Lido’s Island by public transport, it is the perfect holiday spot to combine culture with beach time. And don’t forget the Biennale Art Exhibition, it starts at the begginig of June!
Autumn: it is, after the spring, the best time to visit Venice and get lost in streets and squares to discover the history, traditions and sights of the city.

The Neighborhood

ARRIVAL:
•From Venice Airport take the direct water shuttle ALILAGUNA to Fondamente Nuove boat station.
•From Railway station take the waterbus ACTV line 2 to Rialto boat station.
•From Piazzale Roma (car terminal) take the waterbus ACTV line 2 to Rialto boat station.
•I will send you more detailed directions when I receive your reservation, now would only lead to confusion, Venice is a maze. We can decide a meeting point or exchange the telephone number.
•If you would like to walk, I’ll send you more detailed instructions upon request.
•Late check-in, after 8pm, must pay Euro 20 extra charge.
I’ll be pleased to welcome you, to make you feel like at home in a cosy atmosphere of a venetian house!!!
If there's anything you'd like to know about my rental, feel free to ask.

  • Monica is the perfect hostess! All other hosts should takes notes because everything was flawless here. The beds were comfy, the location was out of the touristy areas but in the perfect location to begin a day of exploring Venice and close enough to Rialto bridge. Monica gave us a wealth of information in regards to the must sees and dos of Venice, including some of her personal favorites. Breakfast every morning started our days off full and happy with a bounty of food to choose from. When we came home tired from the days adventure our room and bathroom were cleaned and prepped for sleeping. Could not have had a better stay!

  • Monica is a fantastic hostess, so passionate about Venice. She met us off the ferry and from that moment gave us pointers as to how use guide points to get around - very helpful for later when we were exploring. She was so helpful with suggestions to make the most of our 3 nights in Venice and how to use our time efficiently. She supplied us with a map and we were welcome to use the guide books that she had. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast superb, giving you a wide choice of foods. Monica was there every morning to answer our many questions about Venice and freely gave of her time to help us map out our day. We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation. This experience was superb. Monica is a lovely and genuine person..

  • Our stay at Monica´s place was just perfect! Monica was amazingly hospitable and an outstanding host right from the first email. The rooms were cosy, clean, quiet and equipped with such comfortable beds. The breakfast was really delicious and prepared with love! Monica´s place is located central, so it only takes you a few minutes to walk to the main touristic spots. There could not (email hidden) or place to stay in Venice; Monica´s place is a home away from home! Thank you for everything, Monica!!

  • Venice is not Venice without Monica! She gave us insights and really cares about making your stay memorable. I highly recommended staying in one of her rooms. Very clean and comfortable!

  • I had a wonderful stay with Monica. My room was spacious (huge by Venice standards) and spotless. It was wonderfully quiet at night, and still conveneint to all the sights. I felt like I was living in the middle of Venice. One of my favorite things about the whole trip was chatting with Monica about her experience growing up in this unique city. Plus, she has great recomendations for restaurants, etc. I would highly recommend staying here!
