It's so tranquil & beautiful
Please remove outdoor shoes before going upstairs, thank you.
Shirley was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, she greeted us with biscuits and tea and got us settled in. Shirley is very friendly and interesting, she is well traveled and knowledgeable about the surrounding area and places of interest.
The room is larger than we expected, with a very comfy bed, writing desk and plenty of storage space. The bathroom is just opposite the bedroom and houses a powerful shower and large bath. The house is a traditional farmhouse, 30 minutes drive from The Wrekin and 20 minutes from Newport. We used it as our base to visit Iron Bridge and Leighton.
Breakfast was amazing! We had a selection of fruit with both toast and porridge and plenty of tea/coffee. Shirley really is a great host and we really cannot recommend you stay here enough.
AMAZING host and amazing accommodation, far EXCEEDED any expectation i had and at an unbelievably low price. would HIGHLY RECOMMENDED visiting and will be back myself in good time! Many thanks Shirley and Graham for letting me into your home.
Shirley was the spirit of kindness itself. She did everything she could to make us feel welcome. The accommodation was warm and comfortable and the ensuite spotless. Lovely breakfast too.
This was my first Airbnb booking & I'm happy to say thanks to Shirley it was a very pleasant experience. The room was spacious, clean and tidy and the private bathroom was more than adequate. The time I spent at Shirley's farmhouse was both relaxing & interesting. The breakfasts were beautifully prepared and I was made to feel very much at home throughout my stay.
I would thoroughly recommend "The Charming Countryside Retreat" to anyone wishing to stay in Shropshire with a guaranteed friendly welcome and set in glorious rural surroundings.
I was staying with Shirley whilst at Harper Adams for the week. The room was very comfortable with a very good shower and fast wi fi all of which was brilliant. Shirley and Graham were great company and were very welcoming.
A wonderful place to stay! Shirley and Graham are gracious and accommodating hosts, made me feel very welcome. Tea and breakfast were excellent.
A charming farmhouse set in beautiful remote countryside. Shirley was away, but Graham was very welcoming, attentive and friendly. The large bedroom was very comfortable, and the spacious modern bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was simple but lovely, and there was plenty of it. I would highly recommend this as a great relaxing place to stay.
