I can't say enough good about Romi and Joey! Because I was occupied most of the time with attending a seminar (the main purpose of my travel) I was not able to spend much time with them, but the moments I did have were absolute gold for me. From the moment I arrived and sat down to a delicious meal prepared by Joey to the big genuine bear hug that Romi gave me the day I left I was made to feel welcome and at home in every way. Romi really goes out of her way to add special touches for the benefit of her guests. From having a wall of teas and chocolates (dark chocolate! my favorite!) to a shelf full of breakfast varieties and the evening candle ambience I really enjoyed the experience of being welcomed into the family. The girls were absolute angels to me, and I had so much fun playing with them, it was great therapy for me since I was missing my own children. The bus stops near the house (literally a few minute walk away) lead directly to both the airport and downtown Dublin, so getting around was ridiculously convenient. Joey is, compared to me at least, a pretty accomplished guitarist and I enjoyed the few jam sessions that we had. And Romi is a delightful conversationalist, even if the conversation travels all over the room and never arrives at its destination it is the journey itself that makes it so enjoyable. I felt the freedom to retreat into my room when I needed (I need alone time every day) and come out to mingle when I wished. I am absolutely grateful in every way for the experience and I recommend them to anyone who enjoys being made to feel like a long lost old friend. Thanks a million guys! I'll be back!
I had such a lovely stay with Romi and Joey. Their home is so full of joy! Their two daughters are darling, and breakfast is provided every morning -- there is an excellent selection of cereals, granolas and nuts, as well as a hearty bowl of fruit on the table at all hours. I was coming off a long flight from the states, and they made me feel welcome as we talked and drank tea in their bright kitchen. I slept well, and it was reassuring, as I cavorted around Dublin, to know that I had a home (their hospitality & warmth, really does make you feel at home) to return to at the close of the day. I would stay there again & again. I can't imagine a friendlier, more gracious place in the whole of Dublin.
Romi is definitely a good host for a foreigner. She always tried her best to help me, a very caring woman. Romi gave me all info to move around the city using public transport and everything was easy. This is the right place to discover the amazing Dublin with a nice staying!
I'd recommend it if you want a comfortable like your home and well located place while in Dublin.
I always thank you Romi~~~
Staying with Romi and Joey was as comfortable as being at home. A beautiful family with great character. It is evident that these two truly care about the welfare of their guests and their experience. Cannot say enough good things about this family. I will be back!
I had such a great experience staying with Romi and Joey back in August that I decided to book with them again. They're really the nicest and most helpful hosts you could hope to have, they invite you right into their home and give you great advice about what to see and where to go while in Dublin. This booking would be ideal if you're staying in Dublin for a longer stretch of time, as it really gives you a great place to call home while you're traveling. That said it's also a lovely place to spend a few days if you're taking a shorter trip. I really cannot recommend this family enough, you will have a wonderful experience in Dublin with them as your hosts!
This was the BEST airbnb for me so far... ill say it again.. the BEST. I felt like i actually made friends in Dublin, and would definitely highly recommend anyone to stay here if theyre in town. Romi and Joey are very interesting, well-travelled people and are a joy to talk to. In fact I came home early my 2nd night there because I wanted to have a chat in the kitchen if Romi was still up. The airbnb stay alone was worth my trip to dublin. The location is very very good, especially if youre using the airport. Either way, there are direct day and night buses to the city centre. Romi provided towels, soap, toilet paper, breakfast, tea, hospitality, and a very clean, cosy room to boot. Book this, trust me... you wont regret.
I've had a very nice night at Romi's house,especially close to her tea-wall:)She's a very charming,open-minded,friendly host!And a traveler with a big experience.Thank you,Romi!
Pay strict attention to directions or it is VERY easy to become lost in housing complex! Great flat and fabulous hosts. Must like kids as the two girls are both adorable and a handful! Girls go to bed about 2000 local time so guests should know quiet time upstairs starts then. Bed is a double and super comfortable. Area is very quiet and felt very safe after dark to be out walking. A few restaurants a short walk away. Hosts are very warm and make guests feel part of family.
Hi David, Thank you very much for the private feed back , it was really lovely ! Our girls missed you , it was nice of you to play with them , they do have a bedtime at 7 pm , but dont worry abt being quiet, we had parties after they bed time and they never woke up :) , they sleep through a bomb ! Hope you got home ok , have a wonderful Xmas and hope to see you soon ! xox Romi
My stay with the Curran has been the first step of my moving to Ireland. What can I say? I have been lucky meeting them, I couldn't find a better option. The position is quite perfect, good connections with the airport and city center. The house is kept nice, tidy and clean. But most important, they make you really feel like home :) Both Romi and Joey are helping their guests with advice and are always ready, if you fell like that, for a nice chat in front of a hot cup of tea (huge selections of teas available!). I didn't find a welcoming guest, I found new friends! highly recommended! :)
Great stay.. Sweet children, clean cozy room & friendly hosts!!
