We (email hidden) hideaway for our second anniversary. The location was perfect. Close to town and close to nature.. We loved the updated decor and the private balcony. Perfect place to relax and celebrate our anniversary. Megan was great! Stayed available for the entire trip incase we needed anything. they left a sweet that made us feel very welcome and at home! We will definitely come back!
We had an awesome time at the Tahoe City Hideaway! The place was beautiful and Megan & Dan were so helpful in making our experience amazing! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while enjoying Lake Tahoe!
I found Megan and Dan's place by searching on (website hidden)…it was just half a mile from the location of a wedding we went to! We arrived late at night but Megan left a light on for us and the door unlocked. The place was great, just as it looked in the pictures and very clean! It was extremely quiet in the neighborhood, well once the boisterous group across the street went to bed, but you do hear footsteps and movement upstairs. It's not so loud though that it would keep me awake, it just is what it is.
Megan and Dan were both really nice. They aren't overbearing at all and you see them as little or as much as you like. I introduced myself to them when I knocked on their door to ask Megan where I could find some ladies undergarments in town (mom brain…I have a 4 month old baby!). Megan ended up lending me a new bra, since it's pretty much impossible to find in any of the local shops…she went way above the call of duty as an airbnb host! so sweet!!
The kitchen was fully stocked with items, great if we had cooked. There were towels, shampoo, a hair dryer, a robe…the standard ammenities.
What a good find in Tahoe ! This apt is the perfect getaway for anyone. The back porch is perfect for just staring at the huge pines that live out in Tahoe, the space is decorated too cut for words, and the location was perfect for river rafting down the Truckee river and getting downtown for the local restaurants! I really enjoyed my stay and will refer this place out to any friend of mine.
Dan and Megan's apartment was a wonderful place to be for a week. The apartment itself is spacious- great bathroom with two sinks. There is a lot of closet space. The bed was very comfortable. The apartment has its own deck that looks out onto the woods. It was nice to have the two folding chairs on the deck. Parking is very easy. The apartment's location is perfect! The street is beautiful and the setting of the house is really pretty. It is an easy walk to the Tahoe House- a wonderful bakery and coffee shop and to the health food store and cafe. It is a longer walk into town but very doable. There is also a path at the end of their street that leads to trails and a nearby resort. The apartment has a lot of privacy, we only saw Dan and Megan a few times, they were friendly though and encouraged us to contact them if we needed anything. As it turned out, we had everything we needed. This was an apartment we would definitely return to.
Megan and Dan's apartment was the perfect spot for our weekend getaway! They welcomed us warmly, offered tons of suggestions for the weekend, and even left us a bottle of champagne to help us celebrate our anniversary! The apartment was super well-decorated and cozy, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the kitchenette is perfect for making quick meals. The location is perfect for a quick walk downtown or to the lake, and the area is gorgeous! We absolutely loved our stay at the Tahoe City Hideaway and hope to be back very soon!
