From this beach house, perched on a cliff facing the expansive Pacific, the visitor falls asleep, wakes, drinks cocktails and dines not just to the sight but also the rhythmic pounding of one of California’s most rugged surfs crashing onto Sonoma Coast State Park’s Wright’s beach, stretching for a mile below the house. You hear the roar of the waves as if you were standing next to them.
Enjoy spectacular sunsets from the deck or inside the house, from the dining room, with its Pacific-facing windows, or the living room, which has a sliding glass door to the deck. Or let time pass watching the ocean while barbequing on the large patio with the charcoal Weber.
The modern kitchen is equipped with new high-end appliances (Jenn-Air gas range, Miele oven, a Bosch dishwasher, Fagor refrigerator and GE microwave), generous countertop space around the gas range and ample cupboard space and shelves. Coffee lovers can choose between a French press and a drip coffee pot.
The living room comfortably seats four or more on its couch, love seat and chair, has a fireplace, a large flat-screen television, a DVD player, and an internet radio, with a dock for an iPod or other multimedia player. And there are books on the shelf for the avid reader, board games, playing cards, and a small dvd collection.
The dining room, furnished with a new wood table and chairs from one of Santa Rosa’s Old Town furniture stores, seats six.
Each bedroom is furnished with a new queen bed and natural latex mattresses, bedding, including huge hypoallergenic comforters and pillows, convenient tables and reading lamps.
The bathroom includes a bathtub with shower, Porcher sink and toilet, four towel rails, a magnifying mirror, shelves for toiletries, and a ceiling heater.
Wifi Internet access is available throughout the house.
The house sits on a cliff. The beach is accessible by a short walk south to Duncan’s Landing, which has a trail leading down to the beach. From there the Kortum Trail stretches for five miles to Jenner, the mouth of the Russian River, featuring unparalleled rock formations on land and in the sea and wildlife sightings, including deer, birds, and the harbor seals at the end. At Shell Beach, half way along the trail, the different footpaths wind over the hills above the coast and down to Willow Creek, which leads to the Russian River.

We had a very good time at Robert's house. This was a nice and small place, right on the coast overlooking the ocean. Everything was as per description.
The house is really well-appointed. The beach access is quite close and there are numerous beaches all around.
The management company was very responsive and took care of a minor inconvenience very promptly
Future Guests - please note that there is no washer/dryer on the property. Please plan ahead for this - especially on longer trips
