A few words from Chris and Audrey...
Our inn is located in the center of hundreds of acres of working vineyards. This means that while you are our guest vineyard work may be happening. This could mean the plowing of aisles, spraying of the vines or cutting back of the leaves. Of course harvesting and other chores must occur as well. Sometimes the work happens during the day, sometimes the work occurs at night.
Chris and Audrey's home was as wonderful as we expected and more. We were welcomed with a glass of wine on the front porch. The setting is beautiful and quiet and their home is lovely. Wish we had more time to spend. Oh, yes, and the breakfasts were awesome!
Audrey and Chris are lovely attentive hosts, and their home/BnB is immaculate, beautiful, and well-appointed. They exhibit the right balance of innkeeper host, familial warmth, and laissez faire, depending on your needs. We felt immediately welcome and at home. The room(s) are fantastic. Big, and plush- the beds are incredibly comfortable. So much so, I have already bought the same sheets! Everything about our stay and the weekend was more than we expected. All around Sonoma county and the wineries, the Le Baudour's are well-known, and respected. We whole-heartedly recommend their Inn; and the location cannot be beat for proximity to wineries, hiking, the coast. Like so many of their previous guests, we will undoubtedly return.
I don't think we've ever been proselytized before ;) Thanks again for being so accommodating. You are both great and I'm so impressed that you took time for each other. I know it's so hard to prioritize your relationship with a little one - job very well done! Until we meet again my friends,
Chris and Audrey have taken so much care into providing a beautiful, relaxing home to stay at- you really feel at home with all of the special touches this amazing couple offers.
We wanted something warm and unique for our stay- and Inn the Vineyards seemed miles away, while being extremely close to so many things we wanted to do while in Sonoma County. It was lovely to sit on the porch and eat dinner, watch hot air balloons, and relax feeling like we were in our own little private spot in a vineyard.
One touch I really liked- the shower and toilet are separate from a spot with a mirror to get ready at. It sounds funny, but it helped us get ready without feeling on top of each other or cramped in a small bathroom like you do in many hotels. We aren't big breakfast people, but Audrey was so sweet to make delicious croissants and was sure to help us with any reservations or plans we wanted to make in the area. If you're looking for a unique, charming, quiet and romantic spot- this is the place!
A charming place in the middle of a vineyard with a very gracious host who whips up a delicious breakfast that you can enjoy on the beautiful front porch or inside. We had a great time.
If you want to get list among the grapes...this is your stay. Super friendly hosts will attend to all your needs and guide you to the local hot spots. Modern amenities, extremely clean and professional. We enjoyed the privacy and watching harvest right off the front yard. Enjoy!
Audrey and Chris were were wonderful hosts! They made my husband and I felt quite welcome in their home, which is like a warm and friendly B&B. It was a perfect place for a long weekend getaway - surrounded by vineyards as far as the eye can see, a comfortable room with a window seat that looks upon the large oak trees in the front, and an inviting patio to enjoy coffee and a very tasty breakfast in the mornings. Audrey and Chris gave great recommendations for wineries to visit in and around Healdsburg and local places to dine.
Chris & Audrey's place is beautiful! It feels like home away from home, even if we only dream of being in a vineyard with that fabulous porch. The other reviews are right - Audrey's breakfast are gourmet, and my gluten allergy didn't feel like a challenge or burden in the slightest. We also dug the separate breakfast dining areas, perfect if you'd prefer to dine solo rather than mingle with other guests. Great hosts, even dog Cosmo always came to greet and check in on us. Trust them on their restaurant recommendations- all were delicious. Incredibly comfortable (softest sheets ever - plan to buy for my home!). Very peaceful. We will visit again.
