The Fiddlers cabin is open and spacious yet comfortable and cozy. Tucked into a quiet neighborhood in the woods. Originally built in 1909 but recently updated. Has two bedrooms with two queen beds and bunk beds. Great for families and your dog is welcome with an additional cleaning fee.

The space
The Fiddler's Cabin is nestled among Bigcone Douglas firs, incense cedars, and black oak trees. Sit on the front porch and enjoy the peaceful quietude. Slow down from the bustle of everyday life and bbq on the deck. Listen to birds sing while relaxing in a classic screened-in patio. Snuggle up in front of the wood burning stove. Enjoy family dinners at the dining table.

This cabin was built in 1909 and has been recently restored. It feels open and spacious while still intimate and cozy. Vaulted ceilings in the living room and master bedroom. Original farmhouse sink and range in the kitchen. Clawfoot tub as well as a standing shower in the bathroom. Hall walls and interior doors have been handmade and reclaimed from original exterior siding.

The kitchen is stocked with items for your convenience, including pots, pans, toaster, coffee pot, and microwave.

Palomar Mountain has many hiking trails, state park, and observatory within driving distance of the cabin. A county park is within walking distance which is great for picnics and exploring. You may find yourself wondering if you've left Southern California and traveled all the way to the Sierras.

We love being able to provide places for families, friends, coworkers, and individuals to get away from the busyness of life and into the serenity of nature. We know that time is a precious resource, and it seems time can multiply when you set it aside to make memories and be together. That is time well spent!
We strive to make each place we own or host to be special -- to feel warm, welcoming and comfortable. Like a home away from home, in a beautiful little place on earth called Palomar Mountain. So we hope you will take in the smell of the cedars, find your hygge in front of the fire at night, and make memories.
We are San Diegans now, but are natives of nearby Julian, CA. Our kids great-great-grandparents met here in Palomar Mountain many years ago (Great-great grandpa played the fiddle at Palomar dances/events). Our three young children love their time on the mountain, and so does our dog!
When we vacation, we love to walk in the door and unwind if its a long drive, or just get going on our activities. We think most guests prefer to have the place to themselves, with the hosts available for help if a need arises. That is the experience we provide.
