About This Listing
This cozy cottage a short drive from local beaches is the perfectly unpretentious way to enjoy the Hamptons. Bright colors abound, the yard is filled with teak loungers and patio furniture, and there's always a hammock ready for an afternoon snooze.
An adorable beach house on a quiet, secluded cul de sac. The house has all the amenities you could hope for, including a large (half-acre) private yard, hammocks, fenced vegetable garden, bikes, a six-person hot tub, gigantic shower, outdoor shower and more.
It's two miles to both ocean and sound beaches. The closest are the gorgeous Egypt and Wiborg beaches in East Hampton Village. You can get there easily by bicycle, and I have five that you can borrow. If I am not using it, you may also be able to borrow my car, which has both village and town beach parking passes.
Centrally located, the house is a mile from the main shopping district in East Hampton, a 15-minute drive from Sag Harbor and 20 minutes from Montauk. There are nearby farm stands, seafood shacks, tennis courts, parks, hiking trails and all the other cultural and social attractions of the East End.
There are three rooms in the house. Right now only the Master Suite is available. You will be sharing the house with two full-time (and very sweet) housemates: an arborist and a jewelry designer.
Master Suite, a double-sized room with private bath. Features a king bed and queen-sized pull-out sofa. Sleeps up to four.
Queen Bedroom, a smaller room with a bath right across the hallway. Queen bed, dresser and rocking chair in room. Sleeps two. (RENTED)
Basement Studio, a 500-square-foot space that gets great natural light in the afternoon. Nice and dry. Features a twin day bed that converts into a king and a standard twin day bed. Queen-size bed can be added if necessary to sleep up to five. (RENTED)
Each room is available for weekend, weekly, monthly, seasonal or year-round rental. For a simple weekend or week-long stay, the AirBnB rate machine works just fine. I'm willing to work with the price for extended or repeat stays.
The blonde-wood kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, including a dishwasher. There are gas and charcoal barbecues outside for grilling, and even a fire pit for marshmallow roasts!
Living room features a large-screen TV with broadcast channels, Blu-ray, Netflix and a large collection of movies. There is high speed wireless internet access. Laundry is in the basement.
It's the perfect place for a relaxing getaway or a full-featured long-term stay in East Hampton.
A very quiet (except for the local rooster) and pastoral neighborhood less than a five-minute drive from the center of East Hampton.
My weekend stay at Isaac's house in East Hampton turned out very nicely -- the house is comfortable, clean and pleasant, with a fully outfitted kitchen and common area and (most importantly) bicycles, which I took advantage of to ride from the house to beach accesses all over. It's about 10 minutes by bike into the village itself and another 15 down to the beach, so I felt well-connected to everything. Isaac was super -- very communicative and helpful and made sure that I was able to enjoy my stay. Thank you!
The large room was PERFECT. Love the private bathroom/shower. Everything was easy with linens and very clean room waiting for us.
Isaac's house is in a good location and it was great to have outdoor seating and a jacuzzi. The bedroom we stayed was small but it worked. We would come here again.
Isaac is a very nice host and made us feel very comfortable and welcome.
The house is very nicely located between East Hampton's town and Springs, in a very quiet and green neighborhood.
The house is very charming . The room was adequate . And we met some of the funniest and adventures people on the island while staying here so we had a blast . The showers had great water pressure , the bed was comfortable and the room had a great AC . The house was clean and the property had a swing , hot tub and lounge chairs . We would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone . Thanks Isaac !

About the Host, Isaac
Originally from Los Angeles, I've lived in NYC since 1995, almost always in Brooklyn, including Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Prospect Heights and Park Slope. So if there's anything you need to know about the BK, I'm here to help.
I work in Manhattan, as the Culture Editor at TIME magazine. I have an 11-year-old son, who lives just around the corner from the apartment with his mom. We've got a great situation going on, since he also goes to school nearby.
I'm a longtime musician, and I've played in loads of bands. Most as a singer or guitarist. Nowadays I do a lot of old-school country blues fingerpicking, influenced by Mississippi John Hurt, Skip James and Rev. Gary Davis. If you need any advice on where to see great music, I'd be happy to help.
My apartment is very spacious, and I enjoy having people over to share it. I especially like meeting new people and hope you'll make yourself "at home" as much as you like.
I'm also lucky to be able to share my beach house in East Hampton. When I'm out East, I love riding my vintage BMW motorcycle (1972 R75/5, for you moto nerds) and going surfing (longboards only) at Ditch Plains. I also love that it's always easy to find an open (and free) tennis court. I'd be happy to share some of my secret spots where you can really get away from the crowds -- and traffic.
