We'd appreciate a message & some conversation *before* you make your reservation request...It'll help speed things up, and smooth things out... oh, and read the bits about check in/bag drops (check in/bag drops 6.30pm)

G'Day from Sydney!

Thanks for coming to check out our listing :)
We have another btw... if this one is unavailable
"Sydney City Home with Harbour Views"; our spare room in the attic.

As we were among the first AirBnB'ers in Sydney (travellers + hosts) we've developed quite an extensive profile based on all the guest questions we've answered. Reading through the description, and the "House Rules" (Next tab across from the "Amenities" tab), you'll find all the important information you need... Feel free to send us a message with any question you have about us, our home, Pyrmont, Sydney, or AirBnB... We'd love to hear from you! :D

Your room: Private bedroom (with a lockable door) Queen size bed All linen, pillows, blankets, bath towels, etc, provided too Balcony Fully air-conditioned Free WiFi
 Alarm clock

Breakfast included: Breakfasty things and tasty treats Bread from Jean-Marc, the local baker Total access to "the Seinfeld cupboard" All the Vegemite you can handle Teas & coffees: We're espresso fiends, please don't blame us if you leave our place fully wired, or addicted to single origin ;p

Your Sydney Home: Amazing views of the Sydney Harbour, White Bay, and Glebe Island Fully self contained, three level terrace house, Only 2 minutes walk from the centre of Pyrmont Just minutes walk from everything Sydney offers Close to the Airport & all public transport Quiet street Outdoor deck with seating and water views Fully air-conditioned Free WiFi throughout the entire house Guest access to Apple desktop with IPTV and VoIP calls Printer so you can print your tickets

Free local phone calls Fully equipped kitchen Plus the staples - oils, salts & peppers, vinegars, flours, etc Free use of the laundry: Front load washer and dryer The coolest little dog

Because the house is on three levels, and the stairs are steep, we wouldn't recommend the property for people who like to travel with lots of luggage, big people, people with any mobility issues, or for children.

We also have a little dog (a Pomeranian), so again, not recommended for those with allergies or aversions.

We'll provide you with keys, and there's easy (and secure) access, so you can come and go as you please. We work from home, so there's generally always someone around.

Guest Bathroom (shared): Shower with instant (full pressure) hot water
 Hair-dryer Towels provided
A vast array of hotel shampoos, conditioners, and soaps
Forgotten something? We've a little stockpile of toothbrushes, razors, toothpaste, sunscreens, etc that you can grab if you really need them too

Pyrmont - An Inner City Village of Sydney: Relaxed community feel with an inner city vibe Think Brooklyn before the Hipsters Pyrmont is only about 2kms from the centre of Sydney Extensive range of local restaurants, wine bars, and pubs Some seriously good baristas and cafes Five star fine dining right through to greasy-spoon takeaways Some of Australia's finest dining restaurants within easy reach Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay Exhibition and Convention Centres
Pyrmont Point Park Jones Bay Wharf Star Casino - Food Halls, Bars, and the Lyric Theatre Powerhouse Museum
National Maritime Museum Best grocer/fromagerie in Sydney (Simon Johnson's) Also a great wine-merchant on the end of our street Fantastic deli Signorelli Gastronomia round the corner Food stores, grocery, and supermarkets
Pyrmont Growers Market 1st Saturday monthly; farm direct & artisan foodies

Pyrmont was once a thriving industrial waterfront / working port area with ship-building, factories and wool-stores. Over the last decade there's been a considerable influx of new residents and commercial / residential development that has transformed the area into a trendy mix of inner city residents and commercial HQs. For example (website hidden) has their Sydney office, the "(website hidden)plex" just down the road, as is Fairfax Media, NOKIA, and the Seven Network (TV). Media Production houses, boutique cable TV channels, etc.

The UTS campus, the ABC's Ultimo headquarters (Australia's National Broadcaster), the Sydney Convention Centre, and the Sydney Entertainment Centre, are all within walking distance. Sydney University is about 20 minutes walk away (only 10 mins in a cab or bus).

Eat, Drink, and be merry:
Being ex-restaurateurs we'd be more than happy to point you in the right direction for a great meal in Sydney. And there's plenty on tap too. You can't walk more than a block in any direction without walking into the front bar of a local pub, or a wine bar, or a great cafe, or restaurant…

To give you an idea, there's seven of Australia's top restaurants within easy walking distance (Quay, Tetsuya, Est., Bilson's, Rockpool, Becasse, & Guillaume At Bennelong).

And with a full range of cafes and restaurants in between, right through to the cheap & cheerful Harry's Cafe de Wheels (a late night Sydney institution), Noodle King, and all the vibrant offerings of Chinatown there's no end of options... Modern Australian, Persian, Goan, Japanese, Indonesian, Malay, Italian, Indian... All at our door

Must do's in Pyrmont include Pyrama, XXII, Gallon, Hannah's Pies, Blue Eye Dragon, Made in Italy, and 1945

Really close - Sydney CBD & the other inner city villages: An easy 10 minute walk into the city centre Shopping: QVB, TGV, etc… "Lacroix Sweetie Lacroix" Circular Quay, the Sydney Opera House, and BridgeClimb King Street Wharf Museum of Contemporary Art Art Gallery of NSW Sydney Museum Hyde Park Botanic Gardens
Chinatown, Paddy's Markets, and the Chinese Gardens
Surry Hills Paddington The historic Rocks area Kings Cross CarriageWorks Famers Markets @ Everleigh every Saturday

Public transport right at the door - excellent services late into the night (weekends too
) City bus every 10 minutes Trams every 12 minutes Mono-rail (better than Shelbyville's)
 Ferries from Darling Harbour
and Circular Quay Trains from Town Hall, Central, and Wynyard

Transport options are great: tram, mono-rail, and buses are all pretty much at the doorstep, and a main Sydney City (Town Hall) & train station is only 10 minutes walk away too. Central Station is 15 - 20 minutes walk (5 mins by bus or tram).

The international and Domestic airports are only about 15 - 20 minutes drive away (longer during traffic peaks), again, all easily accessible by public transport too.

We'll send you maps and full details when we confirm your booking.

  • We had a wonderful time at Vinh and Stu's beautiful house. It's a great location and the house has bags of charm. I enjoyed sitting on their beautiful terrace looking out onto the harbour, drinking their delicious coffee. Vinh and Stu were so hospitable and friendly, next time I'm back in Sydney, I'd definitely want to stay here.

  • Vinh & Stuart were the most incredible hosts - nothing was too much and they made us feel so welcome in their home. We travelled with hand luggage only, so they were kind enough to offer us beach towels to use and even sunscreen! The coffee in the morning was also VERY welcome!!
The room is beautiful - it had aircon and even our own balcony! Their house is easy to get to from the airport, and a short work to the lovely Darling Harbour. What can I say - if you come to Sydney... stay with these guys!!

  • This was my first Airbnb experience and Vinh and Stuart made me feel very welcome. Vinh was very patient, helpful and they have a beautiful and spacious home located in a super central location in Sydney. We also talked in length about each other's businesses. I would high recommend staying with Vinh and Stuart when you are in Sydney. For me, it beats any hotels in the city (which are usually tiny) by a long shot!

  • Vinh and Stuart were wonderful hosts! They greeted us with a big smile and gave us lots of helpful advice and insight into Sydney. The house was extremely well kept and the location was very convenient. It was absolutely lovely to stay with them!

  • This was our first time using Airbnb and it will not be our last.
Stuart and Vinh made us so welcome and comfortable, nothing was too much trouble.
I feel that we have made a new set of friends, we talked about so many things on so many levels and when we eventually go back to Sydney and the guys are still there we would stop with them no questions asked !
The facilities are great, the house is great and in a perfect location.
If you stay with them for 4 or more days then listen when they recommend getting a weeks travel card, it really will save you a fortune.....I thought I knew better and spent a fortune !
Stay here you won't regret it.

    Response from Vinh+Stuart:

    Hello Mel & Sonny,

Thanks so much for your wonderful review. Having you and Sonny in our home were like having friends or family members in our home. It was a pleasure having meeting you both. Please keep in touch. We'll definitely get in touch with you if we are heading to UK. Take care. Vinh, Stuart and Kenji

  • This is our second time in airbnb! The location is very good! Easy to go to darling Harbour and fish market! The view from house is also great! The house is beautiful, we all have good memory in this house! I will book this again if I have chance next time!

  • This is a lovely home in a great location. Vinh was ever helpful and friendly, while still allowing us our space. We didn't meet Stuart until the day we left, but he also was helpful.
The room is big enough, good sized actually for a room in a narrow terrace house. Everything we could have wanted was provided and we enjoyed staying with Vinh and Stuart very much. We particularly enjoyed breakfast in the paving outside overlooking the water of Sydney harbour.

  • Vinh+Stuart were wonderful hosts to us ,it was like staying with family that we have known for years ,
We were treated very well and Vinh was extremely helpful to and very very kind to us it was a real pleasure to stay with them , and would certainly return to them if i go to Sydney again .
Thank you Vinh and Stuart for everything .

  • We enjoyed staying at Vinh and Stuart's place a lot. Having breakfast (continetal breakfast with coffee and fresh fruit provided) in the terrace with harbour view was especially nice. The location is within walking distance to the CBD, and a good public transport connection for those not too much into walking. Both rooms they have to offer are nice, the one on the first floor being somewhat bigger, but the attic one having a harbor view. Note the attic room does not have the door (better choose the room on the first floor if you are concerned), but it has a private staircase entrance which provides enough privacy. All in all, a lovely house in a convenient location, and Vinh and Stuart were extremely helpful and friendly hosts, we would certainly like to come back some day!

  • Myself and Henry had a lovely time in Sydney, mostly because of the accommodation that we stayed at. Very convenient location and Vinh is a very friendly and lovely host. Kenji - adorable dog, was a cherry on the cake. We will definitely return when we get the chance to fly to Sydney again. Thanks for making us feel welcomed and at home!

Business Coach / Business Owner
G'Day from Australia! He's Vinh, and I'm Stuart... We're big fans of AirBnB having used it when traveling in the USA not long after AirBnB first started. Since then we've enjoyed traveling with AirBnB across the US, around Australia, in Hong Kong, and also in Vietnam. As guests we're always out & about most of the time and won't be intruding too much. We're neat & tidy and vibrant conversationalists... We're business coaches and small business owners. My partner Vinh is a keen traveler who works a lot with artists and designers in his coaching practice. He's the energetic, vibrant one... I lived in Bolivia for a year as a young man just out of school and have worked in social enterprises and not for profits over the years. I'm the more serious, bookish one (with a wicked sense of humour though). Currently working in financial services too... One of the things we're keen to do is catch up with some social entrepreneurs, not for profits, and microfinanciers, while we're in town... We're particularly interested social enterprise. and small business incubators & mentoring projects. More that happy to answer any questions that you may have. All the best, Vinh & Stuart Australia
