We are very easy going friendly hosts and there aren't many demanding rules except that this is a smoke free home and child friendly.
We are flexible with check in and check out. We just need to have an idea on what time you are coming in or leaving because of other reservations we might have. As a guide line mid day works for us.
The location is quite central between Las Vegas Strip and the west side of town, Red Rock, or Mount Charleston. with a few local casinos near by. It's about 10 minutes drive from the strip, and there are buses less than 5 minutes walk from the house. It is also about 20 minutes away from Wet N'Wild.
There are several different restaurants and shops around the area and the Medows Mall is about 5 minutes away, The Premium Outlet Mall, is about 10 minutes from our house and the UMC hospital is just down the road, 10 minutes away.
Our home is decorated in a vintage style, giving that welcoming cozy feel. No carpets, very clean and welcoming.
In the summer you can use the above ground 18" pool or lie in the hammocks either in the shade or in the sun.
You might catch a cropping season and take advantage of the vegetables or fruits we planted in our garden.
Children are welcome and they can hang out with my 11 years old, play XBOX or just chill in the pool.

Interaction with Guests
I usually am at home during my guests stay, and at the check in I love greeting them with a friendly welcoming hug.
Even though I like to get to know them a bit better, I am very respectful of their space and privacy. I like leave them alone but I am very prompt helping them with their needs. it can be from recommendations for restaurants, transportation, attractions, local stores, shopping etc.
Breakfast is always a good time for a quick chat and introduce other guests. It has happened guests from both rooms, becoming friends after a wonderful meal shared at dinning table. This is what I love the most on hosting. Create links and relationships between people who come to my home, either personal friends or guests.
Even though breakfast is included, sometimes my guests are invited to sit at the table to share other meals with us, and they always leave our home with a warm feeling.
This is a very quiet and safe neighborhood. It's tucked away from main streets so it gives us the feeling of being away from all that crazy madness from the strip. Yet, it's only about 10 minutes drive from it. Haha
It's not a wealthy neighborhood so it doesn't attract burglars. It's not ghetto either so there is no drama or crime around. Just normal middle class working people who are friendly and respectful. I am friends with some neighbors, and our kids play safely with each other outside, we visit each other and sometimes they are invited over to meals or watch movies. It's like a big family and we look after each other.
If you arrive at the airport and are not renting a car, you can get a cab and it will be around 20 minutes ride.
The main buses near by are the Charleston, running east-west, or Decatur running north-south. Both stops are about 5 minutes walking distance from my home, and around half hour ride to the transit station where you can get the Duce that runs on the strip. With $5 you can get a 24 hours bus pass that allows you to go anywhere in Las Vegas and the main buses run 24 hours a day.
We also have bikes if you feel like riding around the area, that you can borrow.
Other Things to Note
I try to keep my house clean and quiet, but please be aware that will be children coming in and out during the day. Sometimes we watch TV and during summer there will be kids having fun in the pool. I have pets so even though my dogs are quiet, they will bark if someone knocks at the door. This is not a very noisy house but you will be sharing the home with a family who has a social life, pets and kids during the day. At night, usually after 9 the house gets really quiet and you can have a good night sleep.
Smoke, drugs and alcohol free house inside or outside.
There is a seat at the front garden that is far enough to not disturb and you can use that are if you really need to smoke.
Child friendly, so no mad parties. This is a family home.
Pet friendly but doesn't smell "like dog" when you get in.
Please clean after yourself if you use the kitchen.
Please eat your meals in the dining room instead of the bedrooms.
If something gets broken it's expected to be fixed or replaced by the guest.
From Dec 29, 2015 - Jan 02, 2016 the minimum stay is 3 nights.
