Unbeatable location in the safe, sunny neighborhood of Marina/Cow Hollow. Within walking distance to Fort Mason, Crissy Field, and steps away from the popular shopping and dining areas of Union St. and Chestnut St. Centrally located in SF.
I want to feel comfortable with you, and I want you to feel comfortable staying here. So let me tell you a little bit about my lifestyle and myself. (It's very important to me that you describe yourself as well so I can get a good sense of who you are.)
Anyway, about me:
I’m a product of the 60's generation where kindness was a high value.
After college I taught school for 8 years. Then I performed a juggling/unicycle act at camps, schools, colleges and Renaissance Fairs.
I became a single parent, which inspired me to make positive changes and become healthier. I began running, biking, practicing meditation, eating real food and living a green lifestyle.
I wake up around 7am and for morning exercise I bike up and down the hills of SF for an hour or so.
So, tell me a little about yourself and what your lifestyle will be like when staying here.
The ideal guest for me would be one person coming to San Francisco to work.
What are the dates you’re interested in? What will you be up to while here in SF? Where do you live? and when do you go back home ? And please send pictures of all guests. Thanks, I appreciate it.

If you are traveling to San Francisco, you must stay with Chuck! I stayed at Chuck's place for a month and I couldn't be luckier to have him as a host. He is a wonderful person and was always helpful to me. He made me fell as if I was home, being present all the time but considerate enough to let me engage in conversations when I wanted and to be alone when I was tired. He has a wonderful house with all the amenities one could need and everything in the house very clean and organized. The room is very spacious with a comfortable bed, space to work and everything needed to arrange clothes and personal stuff. The shared areas such as the kitchen and living room are comfortable and nice. The location of Chuck's place couldn't be better as it is one block from all the nice restaurants and stores on Union Street, and one block from bus 45 that takes you to financial district and market street in 15 minutes or to SF Caltrain in 25 min.
Chuck's place is perfect for long stays, he manages to have a clean and comfortable place and he always goes the extra mile, being always very friendly and caring, helping to drive to the supermarket, sharing his knowledge of the best places in the city and always being there for an insightful conversation.
I will definitively staying at Chuck's place if I go back to San Francisco!
I had a great week staying in Chuck's very clean and comfortable apartment. The area is fantastic: Union St right next door is full of boutique shops, cafes and restaurants and it's a very nice and safe neighbourhood. Chuck is extremely kind and generous, always offering to help with recommendations, and he even drove me to my next Airbnb host (I'm trying out a few areas while here in SF). I have no hesitation in recommending this Airbnb.
My mother and I loved it. Chuck was a most accommodating host and was never too far away if we needed his assistance. He answered all my questions and was so helpful for buying a parking permit. It was very clean and we felt like home.
We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay here again.
We will recommend this place to other.
Perfect spot to enjoy San Francisco. The neighborhood is fantastic, close to plenty of restaurants... Chuck was a great host and very helpfull. He provided us with a lot of information to get around. The room was perfect for our stay, the bed confortable, and everything really clean.
I would definitely stay there next time!
Don't hesitate this is a great place to stay!
Comfortable room. Perfect location in San Francisco. Walk to Ghirardelli Square, Lombard Street, Chestnut Street, Union Street, Polk Street restaurants and bars. Everything is right there.
Also, Chuck is a fine host - and he even has some dumbbells if you want to get in a quick workout while you are there!
Chuck was a very considerate host. He let us feel comfortable straight away and answered kindly every question we had, especially about directions.
Even though we arrived late at night (past midnight) he stayed up to welcome us.
The apartment is nicely located within walking distance from shops, the beach and a park. The room itself is quite roomy and indeed comfortable!
So in short, don't hesitate booking at Chuck's!
Chuck is the perfect host. In July we stayed in his clean and really very comfortable save room. He welcomed us after our delayed flight after midnight and had everything prepared. For our 12 year old son he had funny games, educational books and a big box full of DVD's. Thanks god – in the evenings we had a lot to laugh. We will never forget the movie about the parrots of Telegraph Hill. We saw them in reality near the Coit Tower.
Chuck's adress was the most central close to the Bay in San Francisco and the MUNI connection came in handy. The weather in his neightborhood was excellent while it was cloudy some blocks in the west. The firework on Independence Day was right there in Aqua Park. Just the variety of restaurants is not so great on Union Street. But we took the bus to Chinatown quite often because it is so close. The apartment is very calm and in the kitchen we had everything we needed. Chuck found all kind of attractions for us and it was a pleasure to stay with him. He helped us a lot, made a little tour through the nice neightborhood and made us familiar with the way of life in San Francisco. Thank's for your lovely accommodation.
Great place to stay as it is really central to visit San Francisco and close by Union street, perfect to have dinner after a long day of visits :-)
Charles is a really nice person and really helpful. He really makes sure that you feel at home!
I definitely recommend to stay at his place!

We had a really good stay at Chuck's. Very clean and quiet and in a great location- easy walks to restaurants, park, bus lines. We had very active days planned for our stay, so ate all our meals out, left early in the morning and usually didn't get back until after supper. Chuck was very hospitable and helpful with suggestions for things to do, places to eat, and ways to get around. For one night, we used the foam pad for our daughter, and it is narrow but nice and firm- slept very well. We felt very comfortable and rested well (a couple of nights we used the screens w/ the windows open, and it was still pretty quiet).
Chuck's place is located in one of the most centric areas to check out San Francisco. Although it is not a luxurious place, it's a comfortable room and Chuck is an extremely graceful host who will share stories, his meals, tips on getting to know the city and does his best to make you feel comfortable.
Great for travelers on a budget!
