Jean is extemely friendly and very helpful. I have "bothered" her numerous times before the trip on questions ranging from what she provides to Malacca places to go but she is always quick with her responses and always very patience. When I arrived, Jean was there to warmly welcome us.
Her place looks like the photos and can nicely fit up to 8 person, thou i only had 5. No TV channels available but have a range of older movies (very nice to recall those movies of my younger days) and has a blue-ray player. So can buy DVD in Malacca to watch there too. There were 2 big container of water, that lasted 5 person for 3 days. 2 showers room, so no fight for us. 2 toilet bowls make "morning rush" an easy one.
Quiet enviornment, so no rude motorised sound at night. Except for some water running sound due to the air con, the place is fairly comfortable. Provided enough pillows for people who needs something to hug at night. Nice aroma lemon grass in every room. Although, i dont see anything bad or strange people hanging around, as i am not familiar with that place, night time can be a bit too quiet after a buzzling Jonker street.
Jean was very helpful and patient throughout - we arrived late at night and had trouble explaining where we wanted to go to the cab driver. Jean helped to speak to them, and when we got there, there was someone waiting at the entrance of the side road to direct us when it was alr past midnight! She also accomodated to our last minute request for an early checkout, and her staff even went to extra mile to help us get cabs, thank you so much!!
The place was fantastic - clean, spacious and very well-equipped. Toiletries provided, awesome location (short walk to Jonker, but quiet neighbourhood), not to mention the huge selection of DVDs and games provided. Very highly recommended.
Our group of 8 loved the place, thanks for the great experience!
Except for a minor hiccup with the main bathroom (which they promptly fixed), we enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean and best of all, within walking distance to Jonker. Saves me a headache looking for parking along Jonker area during the weekend night market. Will definitely consider staying here again.
We really enjoy this house in Malacca. It is clean and very comfortable, very spacious, even with full house! (8 people). The rooms are cosy and nice. The house come with towels, nice soaps, lotion, toothbrush etc... Common areas are pleasant and bright, and the kitchen is very well equipped (including coffee, tea and water facilities). You really have a homely feeling. The area is very quiet, cosy neighborhood just behind the Church and Stadhuys. So it combines tranquility and very convenient location (it is 5 to 10mns walk to Jonker street). We'll definitely consider going back if coming in a group to Malacca.
We were glad we selected this house as it was the same as what we see on the webpage.
House is spacious and clean. DVD provided for movie marathon and the kitchen was well equipped so that families can hold dinner at home. (we were tired walking around so we took away dinner to eat at the house. XD )
Place is also within walkable distance to Jonker Street! The main attraction of our visit!
However, the WIFI was not working when we visited. The lady who orientated us to the house told us the problem has persisted for a while but was not fixed yet.
Overall, the stay was enjoyable but it would be better with working WIFI.
Me and my friends were very pleased with the house - VERY clean, presented with care and very conveniently located on a quiet residential street within walking distance to Jonker street and other Malacca landmarks. Only drawback: no hot water in the showers and none of us managed to figure out a way to get hot water so we had cold showers.
