Charming historical log home, featured in magazines! 20 min walk (or a 5 min. drive) downtown and a 40 min. walk to Queen's university.
Bright bedroom, fresh smelling linens and towels. The unique property is updated with all modern conveniences. You have free parking, and a close walk to all things exciting like Fort Henry, Royal Military College, downtown waterfront, Queen's, restaurants, bars, etc.
The property is large enough to enjoy your own private quiet time with a view of the sunset over the water from the porch, or you can socialize with us. We might even have the fireplace going, so join us for a fireside chat. You are welcome to the cereal and tea or coffee for breakfast in the kitchen.
Feel free to borrow our bikes to explore the town (we will give you our own guide book on hikes, walks with a list of our favourite restaurants and bars in town).
This room is located on the 2nd floor and is the largest room in the house. It has a queen size bed for two people. The shower is shared with the guests on the first floor (our other listing).
We look forward to hosting you!
It was a lovely stay with Emma and Sushee. The house was beautiful and I felt just like being with old friends. The hosts were very thoughtful with the maps and the fruit basket. Although I was busy with attending a workshop 2 blocks away all weekend, I really enjoyed talking with both Emma and Sushee. I also really appreciated their kindness and delicious breakfast :) I wish to meet more hosts like them in the future! When I come back to Kingston next time I would like to stay with them again for sure.
Our stay at Emma and Sushee's house was fantastic! We were a little nervous since it was our first time traveling with a 7 week-old infant, but they were warm and welcoming, and even upgraded our room so that that we had an ensuite bathroom! The bed was comfortable, the house was cozy, and the breakfast was great. The house is in such a lovely area by the lake in a beautiful little community, and very close to downtown. We wish we had time to stay longer and explore, and talk to them more! Hopefully we'll be back. We would highly recommend these hosts.
Emma and Sushee are lovely hosts! Warm and friendly they will provide you with a stay that is both welcoming and comfortable.
The location of their home is ideal for those interested in staying outside of the city, yet within easy reach of the city centre. The city can be reached quickly by walking and cycling, in addition to driving. Fort Henry is just minutes away and its high vantage point looking out over the water provides a favoured location for enjoying the sunset. Additionally, the Wolfe Island ferry is in close proximity for cyclists.
Their home built of logs with cedar shake shingle roof will captivate those who admire early architecture. Appointed with reserve and grace, the house is a fine example of "elegant simplicity" that you will find refreshing. Their property is located in a quiet area across the water from Kingston and will provide you with a calm start and finish to your day.
If your interest is in enjoying the opportunities that Kingston offers while staying in a unique home with gracious hosts, then Emma and Shushee offer a stay that you will find relaxing and pleasant.
Easily accessible, but tucked away, is this amazing, historic, well
appointed log house. Emma and Sushee were delightful hosts.
We felt right at home. Our spacious room was extremely comfortable. My husband absolutely loved the shower. Emma
cooked us a fantastic breakfast. We had a car with us, but we also had our bicycles and were easily able to ride them into and around town. Walking into town is also very doable. The house itself is right next to a beautiful garden path. Now, having visited Kingston, I cannot imagine a better place to stay.
