Phil pitched a tent on the land and started building his home with reclaimed materials. He didn't know how long he was going to stay, and that was 35 years ago. Laurie packed up her belongings in Colorado Springs and drove across country to join Phil in the holler about thirteen years ago. The two have never looked back. We know we live in a paradise and we love sharing it.
We are dreamers, creators and travelers. We enjoy organic gardening, woodworking, and caring for the land. We have been doing timber stand improvement projects for many years in collaboration with Natural Resources Conservation Services, United States Department of Agriculture, and the Kentucky Division of Forestry. In 2020 we will have done 146 acres to date. We are now working with United States department Agriculture we are doing pollinator patches for the bees and a acre of clear cut. If you are interested, we would love to show you what we are up to!
