About this listing
This lovely house is based at the neighborhood of Petralona, by a small square, at the first floor.
The house is 75 sm, and it's very quite and cute. Is air conditioned, has two bedrooms, living room, kitchen ready for your cooking, a wc-bath and a balcony just above the square.
The floor has great vintage tiles from 30's!
The design of the house is lovely with many vintage furniture and decoration objects chosen by Irene and Kika which are the girls who live there (when they are not traveling around the world ;)
The area is the most quiet and safe and close to the center neighborhood in Athens, with young people living around,
many old houses from 50's and 60's , coffee shops, restaurants for all the tastes, open air cinema and a few small and lovely bars.
what about transportation?
-There is a trolley bus stop just in front of your door to take you at Syntagma square just in 15 min.
-The Petralona metro station is a 5 min walk.
-Acropolis hill is just 15 min walking distance!
-You can be at the port of Piraeus in 20 min by metro!
I stayed at this house last September and I had a great time! So all that I wrote above is an experience of my own...
Rekommenderas varmt!
We had a really lovely time at the apartment. Its a really individual apartment with a great energy about it. The square it overlooks is great and a happy place to return to after the city. We stayed for three nights and ate at the square every evening. Its a lively and friendly space but not noisy so a good nights sleep was never disturbed.
A great place to stay at if you are visiting Athens close to the acropolis and very easy to get to from the airport. We would recommend it.
Thx Mags, Chris and Luke
The apartment is absolutely lovely with a nice balcony overlooking a small square. The area is really nice and calm and is full of restaurants and cafées which gives a really lovely atmosphere in the evenings. It is so easy getting to other areas of the city too.
We were greeted by Kika and she was very nice and helpful during our stay and even though or plane was several hours delayed and we got to the apartment at 4.30 am. Kika was absolutely welcoming.
Thanks to Nektarios, Kiko and Irene very mich! We had a great stay in Athens! As we had our arrival at a different time, we had to clear many many details and our hosts were that patient to explain everything and to meet us - even in the morning at 4am!
We enjoyed a lot our stay in Nektarios' flat, it is situated in a really good area near the subway station and near great places such as the Acropolis. You can find cafés, bars, restaurants... a really cool place!
Concerning our living place; a cosy place where everything was perfect, clean, there is all you need, everything has been prepared for your stay, towels, food...
Our host gave us good indications about the city, he was really nice and we thank him a lot because we had a wonderful stay!!
I only met Nektarios, Kika, and Irene on the first night. They waited up late for us as we didn't arrive until midnight. All three were extremely nice, easy to talk to, and accommodating people. On a future trip I'd love to grab a beer with them and spend a bit more time talking.
The place is nicely situated. It is very close to the metro. We walked everywhere and spent a lot of time exploring; the Agora hill, Acropolis, Plaka, and all the other touristic areas are very easily accessible by walking. The neighbourhood itself is above a lively square surrounded by some decent restaurants and cafes.
The place itself is a bit old but nice. It was very hot during our stay, but if you leave the doors closed with the aircon on for a while it will cool down nicely. It's above a cafe, but minimal noise could be heard inside. It's a fully stocked apartment, and Nektarios et all were kind enough to leave us some fruit and toast as well.
All in all we really enjoyed the apartment, the neighbourhood, and meeting Nektarios, Kika and Irene, and if we find ourselves in Athens again would surely look up staying there again.
