This loft in the heart of the Crossroads is an amazing space in an amazing place. It is located walking distance from anything in the Crossroads, Power and Light district (including the Sprint Center) and Crown Center, and is just a short drive from Westport and the Plaza. If it's happening in Kansas City, you're ten minutes away (or less!). Also less than five minutes from I-35 and I-70 onramps.
--- The Living Space
The space is two levels and 1,900 square feet of completely open floor plan. Each level has sixteen foot ceilings. Downstairs, there is a living area including two large chairs and a sofa (which can convert into two twin beds or one king bed), a half bath, a full kitchen, and an eating space with an eight-person dining table. Upstairs, there is a single master bedroom with a super-comfortable queen bed and attached master bath with beautiful walk-in shower and plenty of counter space. Upstairs is also a sitting area, and an office space with two desks.
The kitchen is a unique design incorporating a gigantic center island with cabinetry and shelves inside. It includes sink with garbage disposal, electric glass-top stove, oven, stainless steel refrigerator with ice maker and filtered water, and a microwave. Whether you're looking to cook or just a place to serve up some pizza from Grinder's, the kitchen has everything you need.
In addition to the spacious accommodations the space has immense aesthetic value. Converted in 1999 from a former popcorn machine factory, the loft has 100% hard floors (both original hardwood and untreated concrete),10-foot tall windows on two sides, original brick walls and a stunning wood and steel staircase between the levels. Exposed ventilation and an open layout (the only doors lead to the bathrooms) give the space a true loft feel. We hunted for months to find this loft, you can benefit from our hard work for a night, a week, or more!
--- The Neighborhood
While the loft is right in the heart of the city, it's primarily a neighborhood of small local shops. Quiet evenings and relatively low foot traffic characterize a normal day (but it's a neighborhood party in the nearby art galleries the first Friday of every month). Very safe and a neighboring building has nightly security patrols.
Looking for somewhere to go? You're in luck! Wonderful coffee shop just across the street, minutes walk from Manny's, Jackstack BBQ, YJ's Snack Bar, Hamburger Mary's, Snow and Company and more fantastic KC cuisine. Add a few more minutes walk and you can get to the amazing Mainstreet movie theater and the rest of Kansas City's Power and Light District.

My wife and I were in Kansas City to buy a house. This loft was a perfect place to relax after a long day of searching! The area of town couldn't be any better!
This is the third time I stayed at the loft. It is fantastic and in a great neighborhood. It is very close to a lot of cool spots downtown. Don't hesitate to rent from Michael he has always come through with everything he says he will do.
Everything was exactly as advertised! Great location in Kansas City's Crossroads Arts District. Walking distance to cool local shops and restaurants. The loft was clean and spacious with two dedicated, private parking spaces located right next to the front door. Check-in and check-out was very easy. I wouldn't hesitate staying here again.
great place, great host! Thank you.
Had a great stay and the loft was beautiful. Love the private parking spot. Love the place overall and will be staying there again soon!
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The space was great (very unique) and we were thrilled to be able to host a small gathering of friends prior to an evening out. Michael was always quick to respond to any questions I had and was very accommodating.
We were in town for a book tour stop at Kauffman Center nearby. Michael's place is absolutely wonderful, and he was a spectacular host. Great neighborhood, to boot!
My wife and I rented the loft for our 8th anniversary and loved It. It was walking distance to our favorite bistros and coffee shops.
