Back to basics offgrid wooden cabin, located on a small farm next to a large dog park. Perfect for those who want to relax and just chill. Leave the stress of modern life behind and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Nordic forest. Ideal for nature lovers. Summer offers the chance to watch the beavers play around on our little lake. Other wildlife spotting all year round. Swimming lakes 10min drive away, forest walks, BBQ’s. Winter offers cross country skiing, sledging and cozy a log fire

The space
The cabin has a combined living & dining room with open wood fire.
2 bedrooms with electrical heaters plus kitchenette with wood fired stove, refrigerator,kettle, small electric oven/hob. Hot water urn & washing bowl.
Glasses, plates & kitchen utensils.

We must stress that apart from the electricity this is an off grid cabin! There is no separate shower room.

Due to the extreme cold temperatures in the height of the winter when not I use, there’s no plumbing inside the cabin. Fresh drinking and washing water for the hot urn is provided in two 20 litre containers that can be refilled via an outside tap located at the house.

Outdoor compost toilet 5m from the cabin. 2 hour access to the dog park included in your stay. Extra access can be booked via the Gråbergethundepark. com website.

Other things to note
The cabin is located on the same property as the main family house but is 100m away on top of a small hill.
We have our own, very friendly dogs kept inside a fenced off area at the back of the main house.

There can be mosquitoes during summer months. This is very common in rural areas throughout Norway.
