We spent our first night of our holidays (and first ever Airbnb experience) here. We, like so many others, had a lot of trouble finding the place - it turned out that Nemanja's directions (including photos of each turn) were 100% accurate, however we had several problems against us; our GPS had nearly no maps for Bosnia, there was no mobile ph coverage while we were lost, and we didn't know if we were actually on the "M6" road, seeing as the road numbers are not marked at all. After missing the first turn marked in the photo instructions (just look for the sign for the monastery!) we went on an adventure for an hour before arriving back in Trebinje, back to mobile coverage and able to call. Nemanja's mum met us near the turn to the monastery and the pics all made sense.
They gave us welcome drinks and coffee and the fun-and-games with (website hidden) translate began:)
The apartment is great - we were the only guests that night so we had the whole thing to ourselves. We ordered the plate of cold meats (all homemade; we met the pigs the next day!) and it was delicious and excellent value for money.
A word of advice - bring mosquito spray. We were eaten alive upon arrival. They had done what they could - anti-mossie plugins and whatnot, but we still got chowed. Definitely bring spray!
The whole place is brand new and so everything is spacious, clean and modern. No complaints there at all.
If you are looking for value for money and quiet, come stay here
These renters are lifesavers! I got turned around by the border police because of vehicle insurance so I called Nemanja's parents as he was traveling at the time. His parents don't speak any English but they called another one of their sons to translate for us and they arranged to pick me up at the border. When they arrived the negotiated the purchasing of BiH insurance on my behalf so my motorcycle would not have to sit at the checkpoint overnight. That was really awesome of them.
During my stay, Nemanja's parents were very welcoming, generous, and curious about me and my trip. We communicated mostly through (website hidden) Translate so that was a quirky bit of fun. In the morning we had tea and cookies and at night they provided a light dinner of homemade smoked meat, homemade cheese, homegrown tomatoes, and bread. It was really great.
Besides awesome hosts, the property is awesome too. It's hidden away but full of lovely plants, a bunch of awesome cats, some tortoises, and a dog. It was incredibly relaxing there.
Greeted with a warm smile and some Turkish coffee on this lovely little property just a few Km from Trebinje. Lots of space and a well equipped kitchen made life easy. Would recommend it to anyone travelling this way.
Kinda hard to find the place at night but I think this wouldnt be an issue during the day time. Awesome host, awesome room, everything is goood!
The parents got us some very nice drinks, the Rakia. They are very nice!
We stayed at Nemanja's place for one night and we don't have any hesitations in recommending it.
It is located in the Bosnia countryside and it is very quiet and relaxing.
Trebinje is just 5 minutes drive and it's worth a visit, Dubrovnik can be reached in half hour drive.
We would chose it again in the future.
This was an experience we will never forget. Nemanja was in China when we were here but his lovely parents took it over from him. They picked us up from the bus station and brought us to there home and because we didn't have a car they also brought us several times to the city.
Nemanja's parents don't speak english but they use (website hidden) translate to communicate with us. For us this was one big adventure. We can describe this family as very hospitable , friendly, warm and willing to help.
The room was nice and clean.
Our room(upstairs) was really nice and shower/toilet and kitchen were really clean. Nemanjas parents were really friendly and they were helpful. They didn't speak any english but they really tried their best. Good place to stay!
