Enjoy Casa Colina Blanca - a classic Andalusian courtyard house off a quiet, cobbled street with a large roof terrace & spectacular views of the white 'pueblo antiguo'. Spacious and comfortable. Just inside the old town area, it is a perfect location for the historic centre, restaurants, shops & nearby parking. Sorry, for July and August only Saturday to Saturday bookings. 7 or 14 nights. Vivienda Rural VTAR/CA/00630

The space

* Well-equipped, modern kitchen area
* Comfortable lounge/dining room with wi-fi, television/dvd and music player
* 2 double-bedded rooms
* 1 single-bedded room
* 2 bathrooms, both with showers
* Large, sunny roof terrace with fantastic outlook, table, chairs and a lounging area
* Summer kitchen with gas hob, sink, washing machine and drying space
* Parking very close (the house can be reached by car without having to drive through the old town centre).

Casa Colina Blanca is ideal for two couples or a small family. The 100 sq metre courtyard house is quiet, being mostly detached from other properties. The house is our home for much of the year so is comfortable, stylish and well-equipped. The modern kitchen has plenty of storage and work surfaces. It has a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave, electric kettle, blender, coffee maker and a toaster. If you enjoy cooking you will be pleased to find more space than that available in many Spanish kitchens and a good range of equipment.

On the ground floor the kitchen opens onto a spacious dining and lounge area. The dining table seats 6 and the lounge has comfortable seating for 5 – two sofas and an arm chair. There are some DVDs, reading books and local guide books. This part of the house has newly fitted (2016) traditional wooden windows and is cool in Summer. There is a floor- standing fan in the living room to help keep you cool too. There are electric radiators and a wood-burning stove (firewood is included in the price) if heating is required in Winter months.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first floor. There is a double bedroom with an en suite bathroom. There is a second, larger double bedroom and a small single bedroom, both convenient for the second bathroom. Both bathrooms have heated towel rails.

Up another flight of stairs is an extensive, sunny roof terrace, “Summer kitchen”/utility room and some of Vejer’s best views of the old town and countryside beyond! In Summer, the terrace has sun from breakfast time to the evening. The terrace has table and chairs, for al fresco dining, a lounging space and a large sun umbrella when cool shade is what you need. There is a BBQ and lighting so the space is fantastic for outdoor living from morning to night. It is a great place to relax comfortably with a drink and watch the changing light across the old town - something we never tire of enjoying.

Guest access

The whole house is available to you. All of the bedrooms have wardrobes or hanging spaces but as this is also our home there are some locked storage spaces which we ask guests to respect. One wardrobe in the large back bedroom is private. A small store room next to the dining area is also private.

The house is not wheelchair accessible.

Interaction with guests

We are very happy to keep in touch with guests by email and we have an information pack in the house which answers most questions and has lots of suggestions and recommendations.

For your stay, the house is managed locally so there is always someone available to provide access to the house and help should you need it. Our local agent will provide further information once bookings are confirmed. Guests arriving on a late evening flight are advised to stay overnight close to the airport or to make personal arrangements with our local agents.

Other things to note

We don’t provide consumable items as part of the rental agreement but there may be some food items such as spices in the kitchen. Please feel free to use them. For the benefit of our next guests, we would appreciate it if you would replace anything that you empty.

We loved the house and we LOVED Vejer de la Frontera . We stayed in mid August & spent a lot of time at the beach ( 15 min drive ) and we did a lot of walking around the town at night & eating ! Within 5 minutes walking you are right in the middle of the beautiful town .. I will return .

Casa Colina Blanca is an amazing find in the lovely village of Vejer. If you are looking for an authentic Spanish village home with every need provided - then this is for you. Watch the sun rise over the old town of Vejer from the brilliant roof terrace, stroll the old winding streets and enjoy great local food. The house is exactly as described, the kitchen is very well equipped and the bedrooms/bathrooms modern and carefully furnished. We visited during June and the house has full shutters to keep it cool during the day and not too hot at night. There are so many lovely restaurants within Vejer to try and we had breakfast out every morning at a pavement cafe (mollette with tomato is now a firm favourite). A car probably needed to explore further afield and we visited 4 beaches with crystal clear water - Bolonia a favourite. Book this - you won't be disappointed

David´s place is exactly as in the pictures, nicely decorated, comfortable and with everything you may need for a pleasant stay. The location is great too, within five-ten minutes walk from every place in the village. There´s an extensive guide of the area that gives you advises on supermarkets, restaurants and places to visit. I will definetlely recommend staying here.

Casa Colina Blanca is in a great location - quiet yet very central, just minutes from shops bars and both the old and new town of Vejer. Vejer itself is a lovely, bustling traditional old town. There's a wide variety of local walking (take an up to date book and map, or check routes online - there's also info at the house.) The highlight of the house is the wonderful roof terrace with its great views of the old town and beyond where, even at the end of February/early March, we were able to sit with our morning coffee and soak up the early spring Spanish sunshine. The house is very comfortably furnished and very well-equipped with absolutely everything you need (including handy basics in the kitchen - salt, pepper, etc). In the summer, I can imagine the roof terrace with its own kitchen really come into their own. Given the time of year, it was cold in the evening so, with no central heating, the wood burning stove was a godsend and soon warmed the house. The plug in radiators also worked well. Both David, the host, and the local agent were very communicative and helpful. The lady who met us was able to arrange to logs to be delivered to the house the same evening we arrived which we'd advise others to do if staying during the cooler months (rather than having to source them yourself at the shop). Casa Colina Blanca is a great Vejer option.
