Our large comfortable room with attached jacuzzi tub is located right in the centre of town. From here you can walk to parks, river trails, fitness facility, restaurants and bars.
We are located on gallery row where most shops are located.
Loft type accommodation above an Art Gallery. 26 stairs takes you up to your private room with adjoining bathroom with jetted tub. Great to relax in after your day in the badlands. Or you can use the shower in a non-adjoining bathroom.
Guest can expect a quiet stay as this room is in the centre of the building with little to no street noise.
Pet alert: we have a house cat
We are located in heart of downtown on Gallery Row. Within 2 blocks, there are restaurants, movie theatre, gift shops, convenience stores, hair salons and pharmacies. Our new Badlands Community Facility with gym, coffee shop and banquet rooms is just 3 blocks away.
You will be staying in a 1920's building called the Newcastle Block. It was built by the miners and used as offices for the Newcastle Coal Mine under the direction of Jessie Gouge.
You will be sleeping on a Murphy Bed in a large private room, with space for yoga, exercise or just hanging out.
Free on street parking right in front of the building.
Guests are welcome to use our kitchen as long as they clean up after themselves. Also our shower can be shared.
Interaction with Guests
We are present during guest's stay and can interact as much or as little as required.
We have lived in downtown Drumheller for over 20 years and we love it. Our street is Gallery Row with galleries and shops within walking distance. There is a movie theatre next door, and 2 pharmacies within 2 blocks. We are a 5 minute walk from our fitness facility, library and walking trails.
There is no public transit in Drumheller.
Other Things to Note
There are too many things to mention, but we will be pleased to give you ideas once you arrive.
We do have a cat, but if you keep your door closed, she will not bother you.
You can park in front of the building on the street.
Please leave our place as you found it. Quiet after 11 pm.
Carol and her husband were incredible! Staying with them was like staying with friends. Very laid back and easy to talk to. They were our saviour since we booked it last minute and they were very accommodating. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The home itself was spacious, welcoming and had wonderful character. This is by far the best place to stay in Drumheller and anywhere within a 30km radius! Thank you for making our short stay a memorable one! Forget about staying at a hotel, if you want a 5 star experience, Carol's place is the way to go!
A lovely and interesting place to stay, right on Gallery Row, and close to excellent restaurants. Keypad access made our checkin and departures easy.
The price was good and the room, while unique, was reasonably comfortable. Never did figure out how to get the water temperature correct in the ensuite jacuzzi tub, but all in all a pleasant and interesting stay.
Carol was so kind to let us stay in her place even if they were not home. We really enjoy the comforable and welcoming place. We haven't had the chance to meet Carol and her husband, but we really appreciate everything and would definitely recommend to visit them.
I had a great time in Drumheller, despite how short my stay was.
Carol and Mike are great hosts, and they answered all the questions I asked about the town/things to do. Their cat Pepper is adorable, if not a bit shy. The place itself is also so cool, tons of awesome art from around the world, bright colours, really really awesome place to stay. Highly recommended, as I'll definitely try and stay with them again if I'm ever back their way!
Met Carol briefly, she is very pleasant and welcoming. We spoke with Mike at length in their art store, he is very engaging and welcoming.
It was a very cool place to stay and the hosts were very welcoming. Thanks Carol for the tour of the gallery!
Carol and Mike were great. They were very welcoming and I could come and go as I pleased. Mike was also a font of knowledge about Drumheller, its surrounds and its history, which turned out to be incredibly helpful in planning out what I wanted to see.
We are two small town artists(visual and performing) who love sharing our love of the arts with others. We love Drumheller and look forward to sharing all of the wonderful things that are available for our guests to experience.
