We have lived in downtown Drumheller for over 20 years and we love it. Our street is Gallery Row with galleries and shops within walking distance. There is a movie theatre next door, and 2 pharmacies within 2 blocks. We are a 5 minute walk from our fitness facility, library and walking trails.
There is no public transit in Drumheller.
Other Things to Note
There are too many things to mention, but we will be pleased to give you ideas once you arrive.
We do have a cat, but if you keep your door closed, she will not bother you.
You can park in front of the building on the street.
Please leave our place as you found it. Quiet after 11 pm.
Carol was very welcoming and informative regarding events and tourist attractions. The space was comfort, clean and eclectic with a roof top patio.
When we arrived we met Carol in front of the building, she introduced us to Mike then led us upstairs to the suite and showed us around, we felt very welcome and comfortable. Once we settled in and unpacked a bit we left and explored Drumheller, returning to the suite in the early evening. We had a very comfortable and restful sleep then woke up early to head out and do some more exploring. The second and final evening we had the chance to talk and get to know Carol and Mike, they are very warm and friendly and were great with my son. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return soon!
We had a great stay in Drumheller with Carol & Mike. They were both very friendly, welcoming, and easy to chat with. We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay to anyone visiting Drumheller. Ideal location, close to all amenities, nice and spacious room, private bathroom, and to top it off, there is a roof top patio over looking the town relax and enjoy the sun on. We really enjoyed our stay and have nothing but good things to say!
We spend only 24 hrs in town and most of those we were out and about. Nonetheless from the limited interactions we had with Carol (and Mike) them, we could see that they're very nice folks. (Despite running their own bike rental business they allowed us to keep our own bikes overnight in the building --they could have let us simply lock them outside.) Ah! Carol also responded promptly to the messages we sent her.
The room is admittedly not outstanding, but it not bad either. It provided the comfort we needed after a day biking and hiking (and I also should note that the price was about right comparing to hotel rooms I found in the area). I'd prefer to have a shower in the ensuite bathroom, but I won't complain for having hot (jacuzzi) bath at the end of day! Anyway there's a shower down the hallway and Carol let us use as soon as we asked about it.
Drumheller isn't large, so there are several places to eat nearby (the eatery almost opposite site to their building was quite decent) but I suggest the "Athena" restaurant just after the bridge towards the Royal Tyrrell Museum (I have no affiliation with it, just liked the place).
Overall I'd stay there again and therefore would recommend it for those who'll stay outdoors most of the day.
Hi Mario, not sure why the room looked under construction, maybe the short wall closet appears that way? Any the soap was not used but are samples from our soap maker to offer to our guests. However, in this heat, it may have appeared used. Sorry about that. As for a key to the room, we change the code regularly and there is never anyone else here expect for us, so did not realize that may be a problem. Again sorry for any misinformation and hope overall you enjoyed your stay.
My wife and I both enjoyed staying down town in Drumheller! We did a last minute booking and Carol was quick to respond. Very kind hosts and the room was comfortable! The location can't be beat when visiting this interesting town. Thanks again to the hosts for the dining recommendations!
I had a great stay at Carol's place. It was warm friendly and quiet. I had all of the privacy I wanted and also found Carol to be very friendly and helpful. I would definitely book again.
