Grazie mille!
We were a couple on our first visit to Rome. Stefano's Trastevere apartment was perfect for us and exceeded expectations. It is a modern, clean, and secure apartment in the heart of Trastevere. The location of this apartment enables nice, easy walks in all directions - up to the overlook, to the Vatican, to the center of Rome, and to the Tiber.
Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. We took advantage of the washing machine to do some mid-vacation laundry which was nice.
Strolling around the nearby area was especially delightful in the mornings and evenings. Many restaurants, bars for coffee and pastries, gelato, and pizza are within a few minute's walk. During the day it provides a relaxing respite from sightseeing.
The next time we visit Rome we will definitely going to stay in this apartment again.
Great Place! The location was fantastic, very rustic and a lot going on around it. A great way to spend a few days in Rome off the beaten track. Appartment just as pictured, 2nd bath a little small, but the big bedroom and bath were great. Loved the Trastevere neighborhood. Wine store and Gellato accross the street with lots of restaurants within a few blocks. We loved it. Would use it again without question.
We just spent a week at the wonderful loft in Trastevere and it was perfect for us!
We were 4 adults and a one year old baby. We knew traveling with a one year old that we wanted a place in just the right location but that we would also be spending a bit more time at home so we needed a place we were comfortable just relaxing in the house. Stefano's loft was just right! We had breakfast on the private roof deck (a wonderful spot not shown in the pictures) and late night drinks or dessert in the front courtyard.
Both bedrooms were extremely comfortable and the master bath nicely luxurious. Sometimes loft bedrooms can be cramped and stuffy-- this was not. The loft bedroom was very airy and comfortable. The sink in the second bath was a bit small for washing up but the shower in that bath was just fine, so with four of us trying to get ready at once we found we could easily wash up in the kitchen as well.
Stefano and Nalinda, who met us on our first day there and showed us the loft, were perfect hosts, generous with their time and answered any questions we had.
Thank you for a wonderful time in Rome!
We have stayed in Rome many times but Stefano's apartment made this trip one to remember. The place was perfect, a modern architecturally designed and city inspired loft within a group of much older Roman style apartments. The roof-top opened out with plenty of sun and a space to have an evening drink to relax. Perfect location - we walked everywhere with more restaurants and bars at your doorstep than you could need. Apartment was very clean and Stefano arranged for someone to pick us up and drop us off to the airport. Will definitely be going back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rome, and in particular returning to Trastevere and the loft/apartment each day. We think the apartment is in a great location, but also loved the architecture, use of space, fixtures and fittings, furniture, books and (most of) the art. (We didn't use the terrace and courtyard as much as we thoght we would, but mainly because we were out and about so much). We were one adult and 3 large teenagers/students and it suited us perfectly.
Trastevere is a great place - numerous restaurants and bars at night but wonderful to wander around in the morning when buying bread and eggs for breakfast (great bakery for bread and foccaccia in the morning and take away pizza later in the day - buy by weight... on Via del Moro). We also patronised the gelaterie opposite at least once a day! We walked everywhere, and saw lots - but we are already looking forward to a future visit.
It was a pleasure to meet Stefano, who was very helpful, before and during out stay. We very much appreciated he agreeing to us leave our bags (in the washroom) until early afternoon on the day of our departure, and for organising a taxi for us.
This was the best place we have stayed at in Rome it is much better than any hotel suite, very modern, stunning artwork, clean and quiet, trastevere is much better than Rome with many restaurants at your door step 10 out of 10. Judy Romano Melbourne, Australia
