The space

Wayra or "the wind" in the local quechua language, is a pretty room with direct access to the upstairs inner balcony with its outside views of the mountain ruins from our central patio skylight.

The room has a comfortable queen bed and en-suite bathroom. An additional single bed can be added if requested when booking for $30.

Wayara is one of our 6 individually unique rooms that we offer in Picafor Tambo, a"bijou" guest house nested beneath the sacred mountain of "Pinkuylluna" with a peaceful aqua lullaby and beautiful balcony views to the Inca ruins above.

The house is located within the living Inca village of Ollantaytambo and offers you a perfect relaxing "sojourn" and break before or after your next adventure to Machu Picchu, the beauty of our Sacred Valley, Cusco or nearby into the delights of the jungle.

Our house offers the discerning guest a tranquil and unique experience of Peru and its rustic mountain countryside in a comfortable and cosy atmosphere. The house also showcases local craftsmanship and wood carving in traditional local style.

All our guests are most welcome to share our cosy salon with its warming fireplace.

We also offer a hearty breakfast of local produce to set you up for your day and of course, a full bar to relax after a full and fun day of exploring.

We look forward to helping you with your booking and making your stay with us special.

This place was all around lovely! The staff are friendly and helpful, the location is convenient but quiet and it was very clean. They actually moved my room the first day because there was some noise next door, apparently some nights the neighbors can be a little loud. They addressed it right away and moved me for free which I much appreciated. From the room I was moved to, the Inti room, you could hear the water flow through the old Inca canals and it was very peaceful. Breakfast was simple but very fresh and yummy - eggs, bread, fruit and coffee/tea and fresh juice. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

We loved our stay at Picaflor. The hosts were very nice, breakfast was great, the house is beautiful, the location is fantastic. We loved staying in Ollantaytambo, loved visiting the ruins, the trail to which is about 20 steps outside the front door of Picaflor. We had a great time and thank the hosts for everything they did to make sure we had a wonderful stay.

A nice. clean little b&b, in the middle of town. This really is a great place to stay if you are spending some time in Ollantay. It is a very quick (less than 5 minutes) walk from the plaza, quiet, and the breakfasts and happy hour are nice touches. Wifi was near non-existent when we stayed, but if you desperately need access to the internet, just sit in a cafe or restaurant at the town center. I would definitely stay here again.
