  • Mary and I had a great time at Aurora's place. We got to meet with lots of other folks who were staying there. She packed the place out the week we were there, all the rooms were filled plus there were several folks staying in the living room. True hacker style setup.

There's a big table in the dining room where I was able to set up my extra large monitor and have plenty of working space. With such a variety of folks there, I was able to meet and interact with people at many different hours.

The Orange Room was comfortable but strictly speaking, it's not quite a bedroom. More like an open Den with a short wall to the hallway. Privacy was maintained with a curtain. It worked well but wasn't what I expected. The bed was big enough for Mary and I and was comfortable.

Aurora was very helpful and gracious. We were able to stuff her fridge and freezer with all the stuff we brought and use her kitchen to cook. Aurora interacts with all her guests and it sounds like she even has a number of projects that she's started with the guests that were there.

The place is in a very nice area of town and I felt quite safe. Parking was a bit interesting. If you got in early enough in the day, you could find parking near the house. If you got in later in the evening, parking was about 1/2 a block away.

Overall, had a great time and Aurora is a great hostess. I would recommend her place --- especially if you like to meet and interact with other interesting people.

  • Aurora's house is very roomy and comfortable. The bed was excellent and the room was very clean and basic. The house is walking distance to Starbucks and a number of stores and a very convenient bike ride to most places in Palo Alto and Menlo Park. Would be happy to book a room here in the future.

  • I absolutely LOVED staying in the Orange Room. The bed is nice and comfortable. It's a perfect room to get a nice breeze during the day and in the evening. The house is very nice and clean. There is a great space in the kitchen area to work with other entrepreneurs. Aurora is great. She's extremely helpful and fun! There are several events that happen in the area, so she's very resourceful on how to find meetups that fit your interests.

There is a great outdoor area for relaxing in the beautiful weather. There are some shops in walking distance to get groceries, and University Avenue is not too far away.

I am looking forward to my next stay! I will be back for sure.

    Thank you Aurora!
