Maids Causeway overlooks Midsummer Common, the largest green open space in Cambridge which is bordered at its northern extent by the River Cam. Comprehensive everyday shopping facilities are available nearby and there is ready access to the majority of University departments and the historic city centre. There are fast, regular train services available from Cambridge rail station to London from 45 minutes together with access to the M11 just 3 miles away.
This property is a Grade II listed Georgian townhouse dated back to circa 1810 which is situated in this prestigious terrace of properties. This elegant property is constructed of Cambridge white brick with sash windows under a slate roof. To the front the property is approached a delightful front garden, mature trees, shrubs and perennials.
This is a self-contained flat at the lower ground floor of a multiple storey period property with plenty of natural lights. The accommodation comprises of 1 bedroom with a double bed, bathroom with a stand-in shower, modern open plan style fully equipped kitchen and lounge with flat screen TV. FREE wifi. There is also a large sofa bed in the lounge which can sleep two more guests. We have recently purchased a quality memory form mattress to ensure you a good night sleep.
Being centrally located in the historical university city of Cambridge, with all its many attractions, including Kings College Chapel and punting on the River Cam. A mile from the delightful village of Grantchester, made famous by poets Lord Byron & Rupert Brooke and now home to best selling novelist Geoffrey Archer. One junction from the fascinating Duxford Imperial War Museum, home to historic WW2 planes, as well as Concorde. Also close to pretty walks (Wandlebury Woods), golf (100 year old Gog Magog Golf Club), as well as gyms, restaurants, cinemas and theatres. Newmarket race course and stud is a 20 minute drive and access to London by train is just 50 minutes.
There are a few Park & Ride (the best way to get the city centre and avoid parking problems) around outskirt of Cambridge, however we do have limited visitor Parking Permit on offer (please state your requirement on booking). The property is in shopping centre areas surrounded by good pubs and restaurants within a few steps away.
Free street parking available from Monday to Saturday 5pm to 9am & Sundays at nearby streets marked with single yellow line, however if required, I can arrange parking permit for £5 per day per car. Please allow us up to 48 hours to prepare for the park permits. Please also note, space in street permit parking zone is first come first serve, that cannot be reserved, you may have to park and walk a few blocks away (within a few minutes).

Self check-in and wifi without problems. Near center. Clean place. Perfect for two, second couple has to sleep on sofa-bed, which looks better than it is.
Great location for affordable flat. Waitrose nearby, safe space to chain our bikes, easy and attractive ride to centre. Good for 2 week stay. Cissy replies promptly.

I'm sorry you dislike the property. Our flat is positioned at lower ground floor of this five storage property, well maintained throughout with a good clean standard. It may not as bright as other floors, but there are plenty of natural lights come through to the flat via the big front bay window, and three panel windows at the back. We do not smell or experience any dampness at our property.
Cissy and Steve were very helpful and responsive from start to finish. The flat is in a great location, very central, and had everything my friends and I needed for the weekend. I wouldn't recommend the flat for very tall guests (the ceilings are quite low) but there was plenty of room for the four of us. Thank you for having us!

A nice place in a perfect part of Cambridge - very close to the town centre, colleges, the river, parks, amenities and not far from the train station. The flat itself is a little dark but has a nice bedroom and living area. Cissy was a great host - she made sure we were enjoying our stay and accommodating our request for early check-in time
