Our sweet little flat is simple and cosy. The location is superb for getting into Brighton and then retiring back to tranquility. You can cycle up to the hills, go swimming or surfing on Hove beach 10 minutes walk away. You'll love it.
Our flat is in a Victorian property on a quiet street. We have a double bedroom, a lounge with a double sofa bed and a cosy kitchen which looks out over a garden. It is light and has everything you could need.
We have some new artwork up of a hare and we are pleased with the way it is looking.
Four people have stayed comfortably in our flat. The garden view is delightful and often the sun shines straight into the kitchen.
Our energy provider is Good Energy and therefore 100% renewable. When we chip off in the van we run on recycled veg oil.
For winter heating we have both storage heaters and electric heaters. We usually just use the electric heaters for immediate heat as storage make us too hot at night. We can put on the storage heaters in advance of your arrival on your request. Please let us know your requirements.
Bottle of bubbly as welcome gift, tea, coffee ... essentials like spices, garlic, oil, vinegar etc.
Shampoo and soaps
Iron and ironing board
Stereo with socket and cable for walkman, i-player etc.
Adaptor plug for visitors from other countries
We ask for guests coming from the UK if they can bring their own towels. We can provide fresh towels for you and are happy for you to use them if you want to. We are just trying to minimise resources.
Interaction with Guests
During your stay we usually go off in our camper van. We like to spend a lot of time outdoors. We can meet you when you arrive to show you around and give you keys or if we are working then we will leave the key for you and give you additional information.
If for any reason we are not available or you arrive very late we have a keysafe.
We will leave out some flyers for things to do in Brighton. We can give you good tips on pubs, clubs, events, walks, bike rides.

Our neighbours are friendly and easy going.
The host was very welcoming and made sure we had a good weekend. We chatted about birds and the South Downs and other beautiful local places, although we are yet to explore these areas one day. The bubble, as pictured on the table, was on offer but we did not really have time to drink it! We really enjoyed the cosy flat, which was located in a very quiet neighbourhood.
Barnaby was an excellent host, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful when we picked up the keys. The flat was ideally located, clean, tidy and cosy. We had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this listing!
This was my first airbnb booking. The place was homely and Barnaby had thought through everything to make us feel welcome and our stay easy going.
The flat was well-equipped, clean and tidy on arrival. Barnaby did all he could to make sure that we were comfortable. Absolutely no complaints. Thanks a lot.
Barnaby was very welcoming, showing us around the flat and leaving us some lovely chocs & wine!
Small flat, but suited our needs perfectly. Very clean and was warm even with the cold outside.
Thanks for a lovely stay!
Barnaby was a great host very approachable. The flat was cosy for four of us. A super location for Hove and easy enough to get to Brighton. We tried two of the eateries that were recommended and both were great!
The best way to describe me is to say what I love. I love surfing - it is the closest thing to bliss that I know, I love mountain biking on the Sussex downs and woods, I love eating good food although my girlfriend prefers to do the cooking which is nice for me too, I love dancing and I love the outdoors - I work for a nature charity and find it inspiring when children are excited by nature too! Oh, and energetic music too
