  • The flat is very well located in Paris and we really enjoyed the area. The flat is fairly small and the furnishing and decor is quite basic. The shower is very small so not great for anyone that is 6 foot and over like my boyfriend and I as shower ceiling felt very claustrophobic. We had good contact from Andy ahead of stay and check-in was smooth although getting the several doors worked out the first time is a bit unnerving. Overall it was a good stay but would suggest it more for a basic option rather than luxury feel.

  • During our trip to Europe we stayed in four Air BNB apartments, and Andy's is the only one I would avoid in the future. The check-in was not smooth. Yes, we got into the apartment, but it was dependent on our ability to fish the door key out of slot where Andy had left it. After getting into the apartment I plugged in my laptop and the apartment's electrical fuse blew, turning off all the electricity in the apartment. I called Andy. No answer. I texted him. No response. Meanwhile, it's 7:30 pm, it's dark in Paris, and we have no lights. Using my cell phone as a flashlight we were able to find the fuse box and get the lights back on. After the lights were back on I got a text from Andy saying he's sorry that lights went out, that happens sometimes, but it's good I figured it out because Andy was in Switzerland.

Another complaint: I had notified Andy there would be three of us, and he left out three towels, which we appreciated. As noted in the apartment listing, there is a spare bed (which my daughter said was comfortable). However, Andy left a single sheet for the spare bed, but no blankets. Another inconvenience was that the next morning we had to run out to get some toilet paper. Again, another small thing we did not appreciate.

I was attracted to Andy's place because it seemed to be the amount of space we wanted (and it was) and it was conveniently located (and it was). We liked the apartment itself. Some of the prior comments on Andy's place criticized his cleanliness, and I thought they sounded a bit picky and so I discounted them. They weren't too picky. The apartment was not cluttered, but it didn't seem that it had been dusted or thoroughly cleaned in some time.

Finally, the walls were rather thin and on two nights the upstairs neighbors were annoyingly loud. This was the only complaint about the apartment itself. As I said above, it is a nice space that is conveniently located. We liked it. But I wouldn't return because my BNB experience has demonstrated most other hosts do a much better job at cleaning up and preparing the place for the in-coming guests. On my next visit to Paris I will definitely look elsewhere.

  • I recently stayed at Andy's apartment and it was an excellent spot for visiting Paris. The apartment is on the smaller side but can comfortably fit 3. Two major metro stations within minutes walk and a big supermarket close by. However, I checked in at 10pm and if you are not used to the older style European accommodation like myself, the entrance was a little scary at first, but like I said that's only because we have never seen entrances like that in Australia. The area is very safe and full of tourists so don't be alarmed at all. Overall a great place to stay and I will definitely recommend it to anyone.

  • This apartment was located in such a great spot. 5 minute walk from everything we needed (the metro, market, even Champ Elysees). The pictures were just as described, and we were able to fit comfortably in his apartment with 3 people. There was TV and free internet for us to use which was perfect.

I read some reviews on how it would be a bit loud in the morning since a lot of people get up for work. However, for all four days that we were there, we were out and about before people even woke up for work and came back when it was time to sleep.

One thing I disliked is the fact that the walls are very thing, and we were able to hear the people from upstairs moving and walking, and also the people from downstairs laughing and cooking and stuff. Also, I think we could also hear the metro going in and out under us as well, but that wasn't a big problem.

Other than that, this place is fantastic. Very cozy. Andy was also very professional and responded when I had lots of questions to ask. If I ever came back to Paris, I would love to stay here again!

  • The place was good. Had enough place to sleep and the washing machine and dryer was helpful. Andy letter us check out late which was extremely helpful as well!

  • It was our first time in Paris. Me and my husband stayed in Andy one bedroom apartment. The place is small, but have a very comfertable bed. Everything was 5 minutes walking distance and we have metro station next to us. The only thing wich disturbed our stay was the construction downstairs in the yard. We never met Andy, but we've got the keys from the cleaning lady's. We loved our stay in Paris and in Andy's apartment, will stay there again.

  • Good location. Recommend for two persons only. Would stay there again.

    July 2013
  • Andy's apartment was great! It was steps away from the metro which was very convenient and just a few blocks away from the Champs-Eylsees! It was pretty clean and very roomy for the 3 of us that stayed there. The bed was extremely comfortable and there were extra mattresses and a couch also available for sleeping. The shower was separate from the toilet and sink so that was nice and the kitchen also had all the necessities. Would definitely recommend his place and would stay there again!

  • Really enjoyed the location. Close to the main sights and a nice quiet getaway in the evenings.

  • Andy is very friendly, gave us good recommendations for travel and groceries. The B&B itself is in an EXTREMELY convenient location for exploring Paris, and has easily accessible Metro access. It was light and airy and was plenty of space for 3 travelers to share. The bathroom is separated into a toilet/sink room and a shower room, which is convenient for sharing. Would definitely recommend!
