The Space

This chic and cool studio apartment in a charming Victorian home in Cole Valley merges the best of San Francisco, with classic 19th century architecture on the exterior, and a newly remodeled, beautiful studio apartment that features mod design and a cheerful and vibrant color scheme in the interior.

Adjacent to the queen-size canopy bed there is a little nook of a room with sunny window and the absolute cutest twin bed, outfitted with colorful linens, a sweet reading lamp, and charming framed prints and paintings by local artists.

There is also a couch that opens to a full-size bed, which is very comfortable with a mattress topper. All in all, there are two beds (one queen, one twin), and a couch that can open to a bed. It can sleep 5 people easily, maybe 6 if two small ones squeeze onto the twin bed. If you have an infant, I also have a co-sleeper crib with sheets.

There is a fully outfitted kitchen with 4 stools and retro-chic tableware, perfect for cocktails. And speaking of cocktails, the neighborhood is lovely if you like great food and cocktails. A close walk to Cole Street, you can feast on gourmet tacos and drinks at local favorite Padrecito, topping it off with caramelized honey, creme fraiche and roasted pineapple sundaes at the Ice Cream Bar, also a fan favorite on Cole Street.

And if you worry you may have over-indulged, you can run (or stroll) it off the next morning with a circuit around nearby Golden Gate Park, featuring miles of gorgeous paths, and amazing museums like the Academy of Sciences and the DeYoung Museum. And if you're traveling with kids, there's a playground across the street (Grattan Playground), and an even more deluxe playground a short stroll away in Golden Gate Park.

The apartment has free wifi, a delightful new shower, and fully equipped kitchen. It is a ground floor apartment, but the entire home is two flights of stairs above the street, so it's very light, and very private, with the only people passing by being other inhabitants of the house.

We are relaxed, happy hosts-- here to help if you need it, and invisible if you prefer to relax without interruption. It is a fun, cheerful, and inspiring home, perfect for a vacation holiday. We love our home and hope you will, too.

If you have to mix pleasure with business, we're an eight minute walk to UCSF [Hospital], and a block and a half away from the MUNI N-Train which takes you straight downtown to work (and to shopping in Union Square and the Embarcadero), and 1 block away from multiple bus lines. If you are working down in Silicon Valley, the (website hidden), Genentech, Tesla, etc. shuttles all pick up within a couple blocks, as do the shuttle buses to UCSF Mission Bay.

In terms of getting to the apartment from the airport, you can take a cab here, a bus, the Super Shuttle (a very inexpensive, great way to get here-- just (website hidden) "Super Shuttle" to check fares and schedule a pick-up/ drop-off), or the MUNI train (it's right on the N line-- towards Ocean Beach if you're coming from downtown/ Civic Center; the N-Judah if you're coming from the other direction). Getting here with public transportation is very inexpensive and very easy. You just take BART to the Civic Center stop from the airport, and transfer to the MUNI "N" line, going toward Ocean Beach. Our stop is Stanyan Street (at the intersection of Stanyan and Carl streets).

We are extremely close to multiple MUNI and shuttle buses down to Silicon Valley, so public transportation is easy, cheap and plentiful. However, if you're driving, it's also a fairly easy neighborhood to find free parking in. However, while parking is free, it is not unlimited. They ticket every two hours from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, so you need to either move your car by 10 am (not too hard, there are usually spots to be found, and most people start their day by then anyway), or park in a nearby parking lot (there are a couple lots within a 10 minute walk where you can pay to park all day, should you want to leave your car at home for the day. There are also some streets nearby where you can park round the clock for free and they don't ticket, but you have to search a bit for them.

  • We had four days i SF and loved staying in Staycy's cute place. It was very light, cleen and chic. Loved the location. We took the N-train downtown, stop very close. Stacy and her husband where helpful so we could store our luggage after check out. We were five people and although we are one family (big kids) we would say the place is perfect for four grown ups, but we were ok. If you like a quiet place with nice resturants in walking distance and a park close by to go for a run, we would really recommend booking Staycy's apartement! We would love to come back! Thank you, Stacy!

  • We had a great time in Stacey's wonderful little apartment! The place was very clean and cutely decorated. It was my parent's first time using AirBnB and they were very impressed! The apartment is conveniently located in a beautiful neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for hosting us!!

  • Stacy is very well organized, and she communicated with me very well before our stay. The apartment is fantastic. It is in a great location and was very comfortable. We walked all over San Francisco and cooked many meals in the apartment. It is clean and we had everything we needed. I give it two thumbs up!

Recomiendo totalmente!

Everything was perfect! the place is such that what is seen by pictures. We had all the comforts and Stacey was available anytime. The location is good, the neighborhood is very nice and close to the Golden Gate Park and the muni. I totally recommend it!

  • This apartment is super cute and charming! It's basically a studio, but we had five of us overnight and weren't too cramped. The space is used well. Stacey was very nice and even moved our stroller away from the view of the street to keep it safe. It's difficult to find a rental that can sleep a baby, so it's great that they have a crib here. We had a wonderful night here.

  • Stacey was a fantastic host! This was my first Airbnb stay and she made it so easy for me. She was friendly and helpful and made me feel so welcome. The apartment was really nice and conveniently located. I really enjoyed myself and will stay there again next time I am in San Francisco.

  • This apartment was perfect for our needs (3 adults and two kids)! The kids slept in the bednook, which is fairly isolated from the main room, allowing the adults to stay up later and talk. Everything in the apartment was as described, fast wi-fi was nice to have. The access to public transport was great; we were usually able to avoid using Uber to get into downtown SF, and we spent quite a bit of time in Golden Gate park (an easy walk)—we recommend the Koret Children's playground/carousel and (a longer walk) boating on Stow Lake. A nearby WholeFoods has everything you might need if you can't find it at Sunny Country food or The Real Food Company 1 or 2 blocks away.

  • It was a great apartment in a quiet neighbourhood near Haight Street and the Golden Gate Park. Just the right place to become aqcuainted with San Francisco. (forget Fisherman's Warf). We had a great but short time in SF.
Het was een heerlijk appartement in een rustige buurt in de buurt van Haight Street en het Galden Gate Park. Precies de goede plek om kennis te maken met San Francisco. We hebben een geweldige tijd gehad in SF (al was het wel erg kort).

Hello! I'm a friendly, open, intellectually curious and creative artist / mother / wife, world traveler and explorer. I love: a comfy couch + a new book, preferably with a hot cup of tea; a clean kitchen + bathroom; honest, friendly, like-minded people; and cooking + eating delicious food. I love Paris, Istanbul, London, NYC + LA and just about anywhere in Italy. As Airbnb hosts, we are here if you need us, invisible if you don't; we certainly won't disturb you if you prefer privacy. The apartment has its own entrance, so unless you'd like recommendations for restaurants or help with anything else, you will feel like you're in your home-away-from-home, free of intrusion. We take our Airbnb hosting responsibilities seriously, and aim to make your visit to San Francisco as lovely, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible! :-)
