This chic and cool studio apartment in a charming Victorian home in Cole Valley merges the best of San Francisco, with classic 19th century architecture on the exterior, and a newly remodeled, beautiful studio apartment that features mod design and a cheerful and vibrant color scheme in the interior.
Adjacent to the queen-size canopy bed there is a little nook of a room with sunny window and the absolute cutest twin bed, outfitted with colorful linens, a sweet reading lamp, and charming framed prints and paintings by local artists.
There is also a couch that opens to a full-size bed, which is very comfortable with a mattress topper. All in all, there are two beds (one queen, one twin), and a couch that can open to a bed. It can sleep 5 people easily, maybe 6 if two small ones squeeze onto the twin bed. If you have an infant, I also have a co-sleeper crib with sheets.
There is a fully outfitted kitchen with 4 stools and retro-chic tableware, perfect for cocktails. And speaking of cocktails, the neighborhood is lovely if you like great food and cocktails. A close walk to Cole Street, you can feast on gourmet tacos and drinks at local favorite Padrecito, topping it off with caramelized honey, creme fraiche and roasted pineapple sundaes at the Ice Cream Bar, also a fan favorite on Cole Street.
And if you worry you may have over-indulged, you can run (or stroll) it off the next morning with a circuit around nearby Golden Gate Park, featuring miles of gorgeous paths, and amazing museums like the Academy of Sciences and the DeYoung Museum. And if you're traveling with kids, there's a playground across the street (Grattan Playground), and an even more deluxe playground a short stroll away in Golden Gate Park.
The apartment has free wifi, a delightful new shower, and fully equipped kitchen. It is a ground floor apartment, but the entire home is two flights of stairs above the street, so it's very light, and very private, with the only people passing by being other inhabitants of the house.
We are relaxed, happy hosts-- here to help if you need it, and invisible if you prefer to relax without interruption. It is a fun, cheerful, and inspiring home, perfect for a vacation holiday. We love our home and hope you will, too.
If you have to mix pleasure with business, we're an eight minute walk to UCSF [Hospital], and a block and a half away from the MUNI N-Train which takes you straight downtown to work (and to shopping in Union Square and the Embarcadero), and 1 block away from multiple bus lines. If you are working down in Silicon Valley, the (website hidden), Genentech, Tesla, etc. shuttles all pick up within a couple blocks, as do the shuttle buses to UCSF Mission Bay.
In terms of getting to the apartment from the airport, you can take a cab here, a bus, the Super Shuttle (a very inexpensive, great way to get here-- just (website hidden) "Super Shuttle" to check fares and schedule a pick-up/ drop-off), or the MUNI train (it's right on the N line-- towards Ocean Beach if you're coming from downtown/ Civic Center; the N-Judah if you're coming from the other direction). Getting here with public transportation is very inexpensive and very easy. You just take BART to the Civic Center stop from the airport, and transfer to the MUNI "N" line, going toward Ocean Beach. Our stop is Stanyan Street (at the intersection of Stanyan and Carl streets).
We are extremely close to multiple MUNI and shuttle buses down to Silicon Valley, so public transportation is easy, cheap and plentiful. However, if you're driving, it's also a fairly easy neighborhood to find free parking in. However, while parking is free, it is not unlimited. They ticket every two hours from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, so you need to either move your car by 10 am (not too hard, there are usually spots to be found, and most people start their day by then anyway), or park in a nearby parking lot (there are a couple lots within a 10 minute walk where you can pay to park all day, should you want to leave your car at home for the day. There are also some streets nearby where you can park round the clock for free and they don't ticket, but you have to search a bit for them.

It was such a nice stay at Stacey's apartment, only to be recommended!
Everything was as described and Stacey was very helpful and absolutely
easy to communicate with. Beautiful neighborhood also,
family friendly and relaxed with lots of cafes and nice things
to discover. Perfect first Airbnb experience!
Stacey's place is truly a perfect AirBnB stay. The apartment is exactly what you see in the pictures, super clean & very adorable. Stacey's communication is amazing, always a quick response when you need anything. Located in a beautiful, quiet and rather central neighborhood - it was easy to get everywhere we needed to go. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat! :)
Four of us stayed here for a couple of nights recently, and had a great time! The apartment itself is lovely, and within extremely close walking distance of many of San Francisco's attractions. We tried to make the most of our short stay in the city, so spent minimal time in the apartment, but the time that we did spend was great.
It was wonderfully clean and tidy, the beds are extremely comfortable and the bathroom is lovely and had plenty of hot water for four of us. The shower really helped wake me up!
If you're staying for longer, the kitchen is fully kitted-out and you'd have no problem making yourself at home.
In the interests of balance, there are only two downsides, neither of which are a big deal at all. There's no TV, but you're in San Francisco - why would you want one? And parking for us was a little tricky at times, but again, it's San Francisco. Parking everywhere is tricky.
Overall, a wonderful stay in a wonderful apartment.
My aunt & I stayed At Stacey's place for five days & we couldn't have wished for a better place. The flat is in a lovely San Francisco Victorian & the local neighbourhood has a pleasant vibe plus has all the shops & restaurants you could need. There are good public transport links with downtown & the rest of San Francisco & Stacey was always on hand to answer any questions we had. Loved staying here, I highly recommend.
This apartment is everything described and more. It's spacious, clean, funky and well equipped. The locations is ideal for relaxing in lovely Cole Valley and accessing the cities most interesting neighbourhoods; a particular highlight from our trip was walking up the very nearby Sutro Tower, one of the highest points in the city. Stacey was really friendly and accommodated all our needs. Highly recommended.
Everything about the apartment was exactly as described. Cole Valley is the perfect base for being able to experience everything that San Francisco has to offer. The apartment is not ideal for people who wish to spend a lot of time indoors as there is, apart from the bar stools, only a chair for lounging that is large enough for two people. But that was okay with us since we spent every possible minute exploring the beautiful city. Stacey was very easy to communicate with and was quick to respond to messages. Her recommendation for nearby Padrecito for Mexican food and cocktails was perfect after our long flight to the city. She also provided a place for us to store our luggage after we checked out so that we could continue exploring the city before our flight departed later in the day. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a very clean place in a perfect, central location. Thanks, Stacey.
I highly recommend staying at this chic and stylish apartment. Stacey is extremely helpful and responsive. The apartment is clean and spacious. It's in a beautiful location, steps from Golden Gate Park and public transportation.
Great location. Pictures are true to apartment. Very clean, clear instructions. Overall a great experience!
What a great first airbnb experience! My group of 5 stayed in the chic downstairs apartment. We had no trouble finding the place and were so excited to stay in the area that had so much to offer. Every time we needed to ask the host a question, she was very prompt and kind in her answer. The apartment itself was clean and perfect for our one night stay. We only wished we had longer in the city! We are staying with Stacey one more night at the end of our trip because our experience was so great. Definitely a wonderful place to stay and highly recommended.
