This chic and cool studio apartment in a charming Victorian home in Cole Valley merges the best of San Francisco, with classic 19th century architecture on the exterior, and a newly remodeled, beautiful studio apartment that features mod design and a cheerful and vibrant color scheme in the interior.
Adjacent to the queen-size canopy bed there is a little nook of a room with sunny window and the absolute cutest twin bed, outfitted with colorful linens, a sweet reading lamp, and charming framed prints and paintings by local artists.
There is also a couch that opens to a full-size bed, which is very comfortable with a mattress topper. All in all, there are two beds (one queen, one twin), and a couch that can open to a bed. It can sleep 5 people easily, maybe 6 if two small ones squeeze onto the twin bed. If you have an infant, I also have a co-sleeper crib with sheets.
There is a fully outfitted kitchen with 4 stools and retro-chic tableware, perfect for cocktails. And speaking of cocktails, the neighborhood is lovely if you like great food and cocktails. A close walk to Cole Street, you can feast on gourmet tacos and drinks at local favorite Padrecito, topping it off with caramelized honey, creme fraiche and roasted pineapple sundaes at the Ice Cream Bar, also a fan favorite on Cole Street.
And if you worry you may have over-indulged, you can run (or stroll) it off the next morning with a circuit around nearby Golden Gate Park, featuring miles of gorgeous paths, and amazing museums like the Academy of Sciences and the DeYoung Museum. And if you're traveling with kids, there's a playground across the street (Grattan Playground), and an even more deluxe playground a short stroll away in Golden Gate Park.
The apartment has free wifi, a delightful new shower, and fully equipped kitchen. It is a ground floor apartment, but the entire home is two flights of stairs above the street, so it's very light, and very private, with the only people passing by being other inhabitants of the house.
We are relaxed, happy hosts-- here to help if you need it, and invisible if you prefer to relax without interruption. It is a fun, cheerful, and inspiring home, perfect for a vacation holiday. We love our home and hope you will, too.
If you have to mix pleasure with business, we're an eight minute walk to UCSF [Hospital], and a block and a half away from the MUNI N-Train which takes you straight downtown to work (and to shopping in Union Square and the Embarcadero), and 1 block away from multiple bus lines. If you are working down in Silicon Valley, the (website hidden), Genentech, Tesla, etc. shuttles all pick up within a couple blocks, as do the shuttle buses to UCSF Mission Bay.
In terms of getting to the apartment from the airport, you can take a cab here, a bus, the Super Shuttle (a very inexpensive, great way to get here-- just (website hidden) "Super Shuttle" to check fares and schedule a pick-up/ drop-off), or the MUNI train (it's right on the N line-- towards Ocean Beach if you're coming from downtown/ Civic Center; the N-Judah if you're coming from the other direction). Getting here with public transportation is very inexpensive and very easy. You just take BART to the Civic Center stop from the airport, and transfer to the MUNI "N" line, going toward Ocean Beach. Our stop is Stanyan Street (at the intersection of Stanyan and Carl streets).
We are extremely close to multiple MUNI and shuttle buses down to Silicon Valley, so public transportation is easy, cheap and plentiful. However, if you're driving, it's also a fairly easy neighborhood to find free parking in. However, while parking is free, it is not unlimited. They ticket every two hours from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, so you need to either move your car by 10 am (not too hard, there are usually spots to be found, and most people start their day by then anyway), or park in a nearby parking lot (there are a couple lots within a 10 minute walk where you can pay to park all day, should you want to leave your car at home for the day. There are also some streets nearby where you can park round the clock for free and they don't ticket, but you have to search a bit for them.

Stacey was a perfect host, so accommodating and helpful - really above and beyond.
Location was in a pretty area, felt safe and was still in walking distance to great bars, restaurants and shopping. Transportation to all over the city was really easy. Lovely apartment, would definitely recommend.
We had an excellent stay at Stacey's apartment. The unit is nestled up at the base of Mnt. Sutro, for those interested in a morning run in the woods, and is very close to all amenities that Cole Valley has to offer. The suite is very well appointed (I would add a spatula) with most everything you need to enjoy your stay. The suite is professionally cleaned upon arrival, and self-contained. Stacey and her lovely little family are right upstairs if you need anything and we found their energy to be extremely inviting and warm. We would definitely recommend Stacey as a host when visiting Cole Valley.
Our family, two from Vancouver and two from Toronto, met in San Francisco for a vacation. Stacey's apartment was perfect for us. The beds were really comfortable and it was nice to have space to spread out in. The neighbourhood is fantastic. We ate at Zazie, had ice cream on Cole street, and spent a day walking Golden Gate Park. As I returned from driving my son to the airport early on Sunday morning, I was treated to a 3/4 moon hovering brilliantly over the Twin Peaks. Parking on weekdays is very challenging. We only had a car on the weekend. Public transit from Stacey's is great.
Nice apartment with comfortable beds and everything. Simple and clean.
A great location, easy to get around, MUNI next door. Walking distance to Golden Gate Park. Excellent facilities and friendly hosts. Well equipped!
We realy had wonderful stay at Stacey's flat. The area located near golden gate park, very quiet and save. It's easier to take public transportation to downtown, with metro N only 15 minuts. We find anything in the flat which we need like for cooking, the flat is also very tidy. We're feeling just at home:)there are also a few restaurants and supermarket nearby, but due to our limited schedule we did not visit them very much. I'll 100% prefer Stacey's place.
Great location, bright and cheery apartment that was a great base for our family (2 adults and a 16 & 18 yo sons) exploring San Francisco. A Wholefoods was located a few blocks away so we could cook breakfast and dinner and relax.
We stayed at Stacey's for 4 night. The place is clean, spacious and Stacey was a joy to interact with - very friendly and helpful! The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen has all the basics that you may need. The only thing to be aware of before booking is that her kids' bedrooms are above the apartment which means you can hear some moving around (from above) in the mornings. That said, if you are up early for business or otherwise, it shouldn't be a problem as far as your rest is concerned. Overall - it was a great place in a fabulous location.
The apartment was great and looked just like it did in the pictures. Stacey got in touch with us a few days before our stay to make sure that we had everything we needed.
I can not speak highly enough of this apartment. It was picture perfect, so much character and warmth. Our kids kept saying "this is the best place we have stayed." Stacey was so lovely, very helpful and kind. Cole street, within a short walk was idyllic! The food incredible and the ice cream bar was like stepping back in time. We loved every minute of everything! I highly recommend this accommodation for an authentic San Francisco stay!
