About This Listing
This chic and cool studio apartment in a charming Victorian home in Cole Valley merges the best of San Francisco, with classic 19th century architecture on the exterior, and a newly remodeled, beautiful studio apartment that features mod design and a cheerful and vibrant color scheme in the interior. (See notes on parking in last paragraph below)
Adjacent to the queen-size canopy bed there is a little nook of a room with sunny window and the absolute cutest twin bed, outfitted with colorful linens, a sweet reading lamp, and charming framed prints and paintings by local artists.
There is also a couch that opens to a full-size bed, which is very comfortable with a mattress topper. All in all, there are two beds (one queen, one twin), and a couch that can open to a bed. It can sleep 5 people easily, maybe 6 if two small ones squeeze onto the twin bed. If you have an infant, I also have a co-sleeper crib with sheets.
There is a fully outfitted kitchen with 4 stools and retro-chic tableware, perfect for cocktails. And speaking of cocktails, the neighborhood is lovely if you like great food and cocktails. A close walk to Cole Street, you can feast on gourmet tacos and drinks at local favorite Padrecito, topping it off with caramelized honey, creme fraiche and roasted pineapple sundaes at the Ice Cream Bar, also a fan favorite on Cole Street.
And if you worry you may have over-indulged, you can run (or stroll) it off the next morning with a circuit around nearby Golden Gate Park, featuring miles of gorgeous paths, and amazing museums like the Academy of Sciences and the DeYoung Museum. And if you're traveling with kids, there's a playground across the street (Grattan Playground), and an even more deluxe playground a short stroll away in Golden Gate Park.
The apartment has free wifi, a delightful new shower, and fully equipped kitchen. It is a ground floor apartment, but the entire home is two flights of stairs above the street, so it's very light, and very private, with the only people passing by being other inhabitants of the house.
We are relaxed, happy hosts-- here to help if you need it, and invisible if you prefer to relax without interruption. It is a fun, cheerful, and inspiring home, perfect for a vacation holiday. We love our home and hope you will, too.
If you have to mix pleasure with business, we're an eight minute walk to UCSF [Hospital], and a block and a half away from the MUNI N-Train which takes you straight downtown to work (and to shopping in Union Square and the Embarcadero), and 1 block away from multiple bus lines. If you are working down in Silicon Valley, the (website hidden), Genentech, Tesla, etc. shuttles all pick up within a couple blocks, as do the shuttle buses to UCSF Mission Bay.
In terms of getting to the apartment from the airport, you can take a cab here, a bus, the Super Shuttle (a very inexpensive, great way to get here-- just (website hidden) "Super Shuttle" to check fares and schedule a pick-up/ drop-off), or the MUNI train (it's right on the N line-- towards Ocean Beach if you're coming from downtown/ Civic Center; the N-Judah if you're coming from the other direction. Our stop is "Stanyan Street"). Getting here with public transportation is very inexpensive and very easy. You just take BART to the Civic Center stop from the airport, and transfer to the MUNI "N" line, going toward Ocean Beach. Our stop is Stanyan Street (at the intersection of Stanyan and Carl streets).
We are extremely close to multiple MUNI stops (San Francisco's public transportation system), so public transportation is easy, cheap and plentiful. However, if you're driving, please note that while we don't have a parking spot, it's a fairly easy neighborhood to find free parking in. However, while parking is free, it is not unlimited. They ticket every two hours from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, so you need to either move your car by 10 am (not too hard, there are usually spots to be found, and most people start their day by then anyway), or park in a nearby parking lot (Kezar Parking Lot is within a 10 minute walk down the street on Stanyan near Frederick Street, and you can pay to park all day for ~$20-~25 for 24 hours, should you want to leave your car there for the day). There are also some streets nearby (Rivoli street, for example) where you can park round the clock for ~48 hours for free and they don't ticket, but you have to search a bit for those spots as everyone wants them!
Welcome to our home, we are happy to have you here! While this is a self-contained unit with its own entrance, it is still a private home with a family living above. Please be quiet in the evening/ morning when leaving and returning home, as sound travels easily, and we don't want to deprive anyone of their sleep and sense of privacy. We expect kindness and respect, no crazy loud parties at all hours of the night, absolutely no smoking inside or out, and just general thoughtfulness.
As for “house rules,” we are happy to have your friends over, so long as everyone is respectful of the property and it doesn’t get too loud/ raucous. There is absolutely no smoking, either inside or outside. In general, other than the no tolerance ban on smoking, just do as you would have others do in your own home, and leave the place as clean and tidy as you found it when you arrived. In other words, just be nice. ;-)

This was a great apartment. We loved the location and everything was perfect.
Thank you for having us last minute!
What an awesome experience we had in San Francisco. Stacey's apartment was perfect, well located, beautifully styled, warm and super comfortable bed.
She was very accommodating of our late arrival and was very quick to reply to all correspondence.
Public transport was a breeze, with the N line just around the corner which goes right into the city centre. Cole Valley is a gorgeous neighbourhood which we felt very safe in. It has plenty of delicious places to eat and drink, a Walgreens is just down the street and there is a laundromat not far from the apartment on Cole Street.
Stacey has many pamphlets at the apartment about things to do in San Francisco which were super helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay at Stacey's apartment and would defiantly stay again next time we visit San Francisco.
had a great stay, apartment was clean & tidy everything in order !! location was first class & our hosts were helpful & courteous.

Stacey is a super-cool & super-friendly host. This combined with a stylish, clean, beautifully designed apartment is simply a perfect Airbnb experience. Everything is well prepared and described. It's more convenient than any 5 Star hotel. Would love to stay there again.
Stacey was very warm and welcoming upon our arrival. She enabled us to store our bags well before check in & was very accommodating providing us with plenty of tips and local advice. The apartment was exactly as described! We loved the warm homely feel of the place & would recommend this residence to anyone.
The neighbourhood was perfect, just outside down town but close to everything your heart desires.
We can't thank Stacey enough for the care and warm welcoming we received during our stay. Big thumbs up!!

Great place! Love the location. Favorite neighborhood in SF. Comfortable with a 3-year old and 1-year old, but found all the clean up requirements a little stressful while trying to get out the door (stripping sheets, taking out trash, etc.)

About the Host, Stacey
Hello! I'm a friendly, open, intellectually curious and creative artist / mother / wife, world traveler and explorer.
I love: a comfy couch + a new book, preferably with a hot cup of tea; a clean kitchen + bathroom; honest, friendly, like-minded people; and cooking + eating delicious food. I love Paris, Istanbul, London, NYC + LA and just about anywhere in Italy.
As Airbnb hosts, we are here if you need us, invisible if you don't; we certainly won't disturb you if you prefer privacy. The apartment has its own entrance, so unless you'd like recommendations for restaurants or help with anything else, you will feel like you're in your home-away-from-home, free of intrusion. We take our Airbnb hosting responsibilities seriously, and aim to make your visit to San Francisco as lovely, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible! :-)
