Interaction with Guests
You're welcome to interact with me as much as you like. Some folks hang out and have coffee/ drinks, while others prefer their privacy. I'm OK either way :) If you have any queries, I'm always happy to answer them.
Harlem is a historic neighborhood with many gorgeous churches, delicious soul food, as well as a number of trendy restaurants (restaurant row is a 10 minute walk from the apartment!) such as Red Rooster, Harlem Shake, Corner Social, Tio Luca, BLVD, Chez Lucienne, and the usual Starbucks and grocery store that sit just around the corner. Central Park and the famous Apollo theatre are also within walking distance!
I'm happy to offer recommendations on where to go and/ or what's happening around the city.
Very transit friendly. 5 blocks (5 minute walk) from the 2/3 express trains that get you to Times Square in 20 minutes. Street parking is also available.
Other Things to Note
There is a white board with every important detail about the must-do and must-see spots in the city as well as some personal recommendations.
Subway maps are also provided.
An extra airbed can be supplied for a third guest upon request.
I have a no bacon policy in the apartment. This is not due to any personal inhibitions (I love bacon), but rather because I think bacon is best served in a restaurant. The grease and smell simply stays in the apartment after cooking bacon.
There is also a no shoe policy. We have a cute shoerack where you can leave your shoes. This policy keeps the apartment clean at all times, for your comfort :)
