Come relax in my bright and spacious apartment in Dundee, the heart of midtown Omaha, fully-furnished with all the comfort of midwest city living. I have a full kitchen and bathroom for your use, as well as a living and dining room with a TV and wi-fi. My space has two furnished bedrooms with queen and full beds. There's a really cute brick back porch outside (though it's definitely cold in Nebraska right now!), or you can walk around the busy neighborhood which is full of great bars and restaurants. This is a great space for young people.
In winter the apartment is heated with radiated heat, so it's quite cozy. If you get too warm, you can turn off the radiators or open windows. I'm located in a very fun and vibrant neighborhood and all of the neighbors are super kind and friendly. It's also a strictly pet-free, non-smoking apartment so anyone with allergy issues should be good to go!
My apartment is located in the heart of Dundee, just a few minutes walk from many local favorite restaurants, shops, and bars. Only a few blocks away from a major bus line on Dodge street, maneuvering around town is a breeze. There is free parking available for you as a guest right in front of the apartment building.
Now to disclose any possibly objectionable things: This is a ground floor apartment, so it's possible that visitors may hear music coming from other units, particularly on the weekends, so if you're one who needs complete silence to sleep, it might not be the right place for you to stay. I do not have a microwave or blender. And I do not have cable tv.
I'm an LGBT-friendly host. I welcome non-smokers only, please. Vegetarian-friendly. Pets cannot be accommodated in the apartment but I can recommend nearby boarding for them. Absolutely no drug use. No unreasonably demanding people, and no creeps or I'll boot yer butt out!
Megan's home is adorable. She clearly has an eye for style and it shines through in her home. A wonderful experience.
Love the location! Had a great time and truly enjoyed the hood.
Megan's place, is nice and cozy. I love Megan's collective, vintage charm. However there are a couple things to consider. Megan mentions one of them, but it's not really the passer-by-ers aka college kids partying. I realize these issues may not be Megan's fault, but still things to consider. First, the neighbor who will resides above you, should you stay here, plays loud music any time of day. Starting with our first, what seemed to be quiet morning with coffee to an abrupt 8am wake up call by margaritaville. And again through out the day and at 1am! Oy-vey! The neighbors must love that guy! The other thing that seemed odd/ not so cozy?!... Things seemed not so clean?! Not sure if that's the right word. I realize it's an old building, I get that's part of the charm, and maybe I am being picky. But the dust bunnies and cobwebs walking in to the building made me and my boyfriend think we were in the wrong place/in an a banned building/breaking into someone's place. Weird? And minor things like mold in the bathroom and the drop ceiling in the bathroom with water stains... An unkept feeling? These are probably management issues, rather than Megan's. Megan was a great host. The place was warm, loved the old radiators, the charm and architecture of the place. Enjoyed sitting on the comfy couch and watching the snow blow, walking to the French bull dog and having way too many Moscow mules at the local pub. Thanks Megan for having us. Omaha, Dundee! I will be back!
Meg's place was perfect for our local Thanksgiving getaway. The beds were super comfy with really warm comforters. The kitchen had enough supplies for us to prepare some rather large sides we were making for a group dinner. I can't complain at all of the location with it just down the street from the Dell and across the street practically from Dario's. You can hear the neighbor moving around upstairs which was only really noticeable on a Saturday night when apparently he came home late after a fun night out. I will complement him on his choice of music-- a little late night Bob Dylan. Overall a great little apartment definitely worth your stay.
Megan was a terrific and attentive host, with a very cute & cozy apartment. We stayed for a long weekend while in Omaha, and the location is ideal - walking distance to great food and coffee, and centrally located in the city. We were very happy with our stay!
The reservation was canceled 35 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Megan was incredibly helpful and communicative. Her apartment is in a really great, fun, neighborhood. There is a great local coffee shop, a falafel shop, and a great beer bar in the neighborhood (among other things).
The apartment is incredibly cute and well appointed. This is a great spot for anyone visiting Omaha.
Megan's apartment was adorable. She was very communicative throughout the whole process. Everything was perfectly in order, super clean, easy to figure out. It's a great balance of homey with personal touches but tidy and organized. I would stay there any time I returned to Omaha and would highly highly recommend staying at her apartment to anyone. The neighborhood is fantastic--we went to Great Harvest Bread, Blue Line Coffee, Amsterdam Felafel, French Bulldog, Dundee Dell, Scout, Le Quartier Bakery--and this is all within a two block stretch from Megan's apartment. Loved our stay!
Stayed here on our drive across country. The place was easy to find. Inside, it was clean, quirky, with a good amount of space. It was location half a block from a bunch of cool shops and restaurants. Megan was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended.
This place was comfortable, stylish, fun and hilarious in all the right ways. If you're in Omaha, you need to stay here.
This apartment is exactly what the pictures show it to be: bright, charming, colorful and extremely neat and clean. It is situated at the extreme end of a very pleasant, small neighborhood shopping area. Dundee is reminiscent of some of the great small neighborhoods in Portland or Seattle, which I have always loved. The apartment complex is an older character building, but cleverly designed so that sound does not travel easily between suites. At least, we didn't hear any during our visit.
We didn't have the pleasure of meeting Megan in person, but in communication she was always friendly, helpful and attentive. She very kindly invited us to enjoy anything in the kitchen (in which there were many good things!). Megan is definitely a host who cares about the satisfaction of her guests and puts thought and energy into making things work out enjoyably.
I certainly recommend this to anyone visiting Omaha who would like to stay in a homey apartment in a hip neighborhood. Just one small caveat: it may not be the best for a very light sleeper, particularly on the weekend. Though there was no noise from other suites, and though the street traffic was very light, the windows (being of the older style) do not filter out much noise from outside. We stayed on a Saturday night and, after the crowds from the pubs filtered out at closing time (which was a fairly short and respectful event), we heard the neighbors from the house next door having a loud conversation, with much swearing and rather bigoted ideas, between about 1:00am and 2:15am. They weren't playing music or shouting, just talking loudly enough on their front porch that we couldn't avoid hearing everything they were saying. Perhaps that was an isolated incident, and it's the sort of thing many people would sleep through; but light sleepers might wish to keep it in mind. Again, this was the only 'minus' of the entire visit to Omaha, which is something!
All in all, a wonderful experience. Thank you, Megan!
