The Space

You'll have your own generously-sized bedroom in our apartment on a brand new futon (coil spring) full size bed, along with access to your own bathroom, Xbox, and TV. We keep a nice, tidy, tastefully decorated home and you'll have access to our high speed wifi and a large office with and all-in-one wireless printer/scanner as well.

Share our new kitchen with all new appliances, large living room, patio, and in-apartment washer/dryer. The property also boasts an elevator, large well-appointed clubhouse for business meetings, movie theatre, two large heated saltwater swimming pools, a hot tub, tennis courts, well-manicured landscaping, guest parking, 24-hour security, concierge package service, and a full gym and workout studio.

We have two small Boston Terrier dogs who are very well-behaved, so please be dog friendly and expect they might want to curl up in your lap in the living room!

This property is seconds to the 101, less than 5 minutes to SFO, and right across from the Caltrain/SamTrans station and weekday shuttle to Millbrae (BART access). This is a great location from which to explore both San Francisco and Silicon Valley from the convenient driving and public transit options.

We are also located just blocks from the beautiful Broadway shops area, which boasts a year-round farmer's market and wonderful restaurants ranging from Japanese, Burmese, Mediterranean, and classic American food. In addition, several of the region's most popular golf courses are within a few minutes' walk down the tree-lined streets.

Smell the beautiful eucalyptus trees Burlingame is famous for and enjoy staying in your private room in our neat and modern apartment! If you have more than two guests, please email so we can rearrange the room (or an additional room) for up to four.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Hosts are gracious and helpful! Space is a bit too small, so as a futon bed, so we end up staying in a hotel.

  • Padi and Brian are excellent hosts. They provide a neat and tidy room, along with a big private bathroom for their guests. The apartment is located in a complex that is within walking distance from the Burlingame shops and restaurants.

  • This was the perfect place for a stopover after arriving in SFO. The flat is very nice and Padi and Brian are excellent hosts. It is great to have a private bathroom as well. There are some decent restaurant options on the broadway which is a short walk from the flat. The pool looked inviting but we couldn't use it due to cleaning. Overall this is great value and more than just a practical choice.

  • We only stayed one night as we were flying out late the next day. Padi's place was a great base for us as we were wanting something close to the airport. She kindly let us store out bags for the day as we spent time in the local area which has the best french cafe!! We didn't check out the pool and gym, but how many properties can offer you such great amentities? Padi and her husband were lovely people and their dogs were very cute!! We enjoyed our short stay.

  • I had a lovely stay! My flight arrived at 1am; Padi showed me around the apartment . She is a real sweetheart and very accommodating. Padi knows the SF area well and can make suggestions of things to do. I HIGHLY recommend staying here!

  • Padi Hallam Joseph were great hosts. Very friendly and easy going, and their place was clean and comfortable. There was some road noise but by the second night it didn't pose a problem. I would gladly stay with them again!

Palo Alto - tech
My husband and I are new SF transplants from the midwest (by way of Chicago, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh) who love music, great movies and tv, art, and exploring. We are in our early 30s. My husband is a photographer and video editor who traveled the high seas on an aircraft carrier in the Navy and is now looking for work in videography/video production. He also plays the bass and we have lots of instruments laying about. I am a research analyst and project director down in Palo Alto who just finished my PhD in political psychology. We are easy-going folks who would love to get to know you and show you around if you'd like! We've both done our share of traveling all over the world and couchsurfed/hosteled/airbnb-style couch hopping, and know how important it is to have a nice, comfy place to hang your hat. My favorite place I ever stayed was a converted school house in Dusseldorf, where my friend and I shared the tiniest room ever with half-size bunk beds! The breakfast was awesome, though, and my friend and I couldn't stop laughing about how small the room was. My husband's favorite place he ever stayed was either sleeping under a fully-functioning landing strip in the middle of the Gulf (on the carrier) or getting to know the luxurious life staying in a hotel in Dubai. Most nights are pretty quiet for us as I start my commute around 8:20 am, but we are night owls on the weekend (or can be quiet if you want peace). Our perfect night in Burlingame is taking the dogs for a walk in our gorgeous neighborhood by the high school, dropping them off at home, and then walking to the Irish pub down the street for a few drinks and finishing the night by watching some Netflix. On the weekends, you can find us by the pool reading our Kindles and me working on my freckle-tan. I love to cook (vegetarian and gluten-free) for me, and my husband also loves to cook (meat-eating and glutenous), so we would love to feed you if you like. I can muddle my way through speaking Spanish and intermediate sign language, and we welcome handicapped guests who can use the elevator, too.
