Interaction with Guests
We will be happy to share a dinner with you, introduce you to "our" Dublin, or just to walk around in the city center!
The neighborhood is quite busy during the day, since it is a business district. Quieter at night, it is a very safe area. You will find supermarkets just down the building as well as cafes and restaurants.
It is located in the IFSC neighborhood in Dublin, with an easy access to everything:
-Airport is a 15mn ride by bus + 5 mn walking.
-City Center (Temple Bar, O'Connell street) is either a 20mn walk or a 5mn ride by Luas Tram if you are tired of walking :)
- The regional train, DART, is close by (10mn walk) : from there, you can either explore the suburbs of Dublin (Malahide, Howth, Dun Laoghaire...)
-The main bus and train station are hardly 10mn walking from our place. From there, you can reach other cities in Ireland such as Galway or Cork.
-Supermarkets are just at the door of our building.
-The Grand Canal Dock Area, as well as south Dublin (Merrion Square, Portobello, the Canal, Iveagh Garden...) is not far either. To go there, you either walk (up to 30mn) or take the Dublin city bikes (there is a station 5mn walk from our place), and then everything is within 10-15mn ride!
No special rules, the only thing we would ask is to smoke only on the rooftop.
A refaire !
Marie and Guy were perfect hosts. Their apartment fulfilled all my needs: it is perfectly located, convenient to the airport bus, good restaurants and food shops, and with convenient public transportation right at the door. It is delightfully quiet, and the bed is very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
Marie and Guy were amazing. They were helpful, welcoming, warm, friendly, and overall wonderful. Their place was quaint and well equipped. We had everything we needed, and we had a great time. Short but ever so sweet!
About the Host, Marie And Guy
I'm a french girl, currently living in Dublin for a while with my husband, Guy.
Guy works in the high tech industry, plays table tennis, and dreams to have his start-up one day next to the beach to go surfing whenever he wants ... I am currently unemployed, love surfing too, got my husband addicted to movies, have always a book in my bag, and wish that one day I will finally know how to draw :)
We both are pretty relaxed, calm people, settling down a bit afters years of travelling and living a bit everywhere. We are not too much into partying or irish pub culture. We prefer good meals with nice people, and spend lots of time in the Dublin's cinemas as well as in nice cafes. When the sun shows up (yes, it happens in Ireland sometimes!) we try to make the most of it and go exploring Dublin's region.
