Interaction with Guests
We will be happy to share a drink or a meal with you !
The neighborhood is quite busy during the day, since it is a business district. Quieter at night, it is a very safe area. You will find supermarkets just down the building as well as cafes and restaurants.
It is located in the IFSC neighborhood in Dublin, with an easy access to everything:
-Airport is a 15mn ride by bus + 5 mn walking.
-City Center (Temple Bar, O'Connell street) is either a 20mn walk or a 5mn ride by Luas Tram if you are tired of walking :)
- The regional train, DART, is close by (10mn walk) : from there, you can either explore the suburbs of Dublin (Malahide, Howth, Dun Laoghaire...)
-The main bus and train station are hardly 10mn walking from our place. From there, you can reach other cities in Ireland such as Galway or Cork.
-Supermarkets are just at the door of our building.
-The Grand Canal Dock Area, as well as south Dublin (Merrion Square, Portobello, the Canal, Iveagh Garden...) is not far either. To go there, you either walk (up to 30mn) or take the Dublin city bikes (there is a station 5mn walk from our place), and then everything is within 10-15mn ride!
No special rules, the only thing we would ask is to smoke only on the rooftop.
From Aug 4 - 12, 2015 the minimum stay is 3 nights.
Really wonderful experience--excellent location, convenient for anything in Dublin really as the tram stop is just outside the front entrance, and the very center of Dublin is easily walkable. The flat is very bright, clean and cozy. Great kitchen and bathroom too. The great taste of the owners is very much present in the art. books (board games!!), and overall vibe of the flat. VERY comfy sofabed :-) Although Marie and Guy were away, Marie kept in close contact in case we needed anything, and Quentin, who was also staying at the flat, was really helpful and kind.
My friend and I had a lovely time in Dublin and were quite happy with our accommodations at Marie and Guy's place. The hosts were away on vacation themselves when we were in Dublin but they arraigned for a friend to let us in and show us around. Miwa's intro and a bevy of strategically placed notes told us all we needed to know about the place. The location was great! It was close to all the places we wanted to go. I publicly thank our hosts and recommend their place.
Had such an amazing time staying at Marie and Guy's apartment. Close to city centre, Connolly station and lots of coffee places and restaurants nearby.
It felt like home to me, will definitely come back some time soon.
Marie and Guy Made it very easy for us to find their home. Their home was very clean and tidy and we were provided with towels for the shower as well as breakfast in the morning. Marie had a map for us and showed us many spots to visit while we were there.
Great hosts! I had to check in really late and Marie was very accommodating. Apartment itself was nice and in a great location. This was my second stay here and I'd definitely stay again
I was coming through for just a quick one-night stay in Dublin. Marie and Guy provided a great location were very accommodating! I only interacted with them briefly due to a tight schedule. However, in that short time Marie provided great recommendations and directions to suit my needs. Great location - removed enough for some quiet r&r but walkable or just a quick cab ride away from most Dublin destinations.
Marie and Guy were lovely people and fantastic hosts. I stayed with a friend for one night and we found all the accommodation we needed to have a comfortable, relaxed visit to Dublin. Would definitely recommend this listing!
About the Host, Marie And Guy
I'm a french girl, currently living in Dublin for a while with my husband, Guy.
Guy works in the high tech industry, plays table tennis, and dreams to have his start-up one day next to the beach to go surfing whenever he wants ... I work from home, love surfing too, got my husband addicted to movies, have always a book in my bag, and wish that one day I will finally know how to draw :)
We both are pretty relaxed, calm people, settling down a bit afters years of travelling and living a bit everywhere. We are not too much into partying or irish pub culture. We prefer good meals with nice people, and spend lots of time in the Dublin's cinemas as well as in nice cafes. When the sun shows up (yes, it happens in Ireland sometimes!) we try to make the most of it and go exploring Dublin's region.
