Private sunnny detached studio with private entrance. Gorgeaous views of the Straights of Juan DeFuca, Premier Whale Watching. Beautiful hardwood floors and newly remodeled bathroom make this a cozy beautiful waterfront retreat. Note: there is one queen bed and a small pull out couch. Please inquire about sleeping comfort if you’re a couple needing to sleep separate. The pullout couch is very small and uncomfortable and will not accommodate a medium to large adult. There is only one bed.

The space
Water views from the moment you wake up. Priemere whale watching, sunsets, marine traffic and an abundance of marine life right out front and in view. The studio has a microwave, electric kettle, Keurig Coffee maker, dishes and utensils, TV, Radio, wifi and a small refrigerator. There is also a wondrful picnic table out on the waters edge that makes for a great place to enjoy a meal or relax with a glass of wine while watching the sunset.
Please note; The studio is NOT stocked with food or coffee. Please bring accordingly what you may need to make your stay enjoyable. The studio is not set up for cooking meals. Please do not bring hot plates, camp stoves or any other personal cooking device. The following guests will appreciate your not reheating foods that leave a distinct, strong , food smell.

Friday Harbor, Washington, United States

Windance Studio is out on the West Side of the Island where the Whales feed, play and socialize (note; orca are normally only around during the summer months and unfortunately lately with the lack of salmon, their primary food source, they have not been around as much). We are just a mile from Lime Kiln State Park where there are wonderful trails to hike, additional beaches to explore and more great whale watching to be had.

Married 38 years to my beautiful and wonderful wife Jane. We have had the great fortune to have lived on this gorgeous piece of property for the past 31 years (lived in Dutch Harbor, Alaska for 16 years prior). We love our Golden Retreiver "Tass", I'm a private pilot and love flying my Cessna 206, we both enjoy long bike rides, hiking, kayaking and traveling the world. I’m also a certified Beekeeper. Jane’s a retired elementary teacher and now teaches Yoga and strength training at our local health club and goes for a 3 mile run every morning, (she’s hard to keep up with).
We love nothing more than sharing our beautiful property and operating a vacation rental business Jane and I have had the wonderful fortune of meeting and making good friends with thousands of wonderful people from all around the world .
