Awesome room, amazing back yard with gazebo, close to several great restaurants yet tucked away enough to be quiet. I would. definitely stay here again.
We stayed one night on the way back to San Francisco from Yosemite. Gabrielle got back too us really quickly when we first went to book and was there to greet us when we arrived quite late. She was really warm and friendly and the room was a good size, clean and comfortable. We spent a good couple of hours chatting after we arrived and Gabrielle is a really interesting person to get too know. She also has a very cute little dog who will put a smile on your face first thing in the morning.
Gabrielle was a very kind host - offering a very warm welcome despite having to wait for me until late at night due to a delay...
Very nice, quiet and decent guestroom with queen bed and own, beautiful bathroom. All well maintaned. A very good choice.
And outstandingly, esp. when on travel: instant response by mobile phone/sms at any time..
Thank You very much!
Gabrielle's home was clean and the accommodations were comfortable. The neighborhood was safe and quiet and had houses of varying sizes. It was a pleasure to see people walking around near there on a warm summer night.
We arrived around nine and got up at seven but did not have much opportunity to interact with Gabrielle since she was on an earlier schedule than we were.
The home is a cute 1936 home, but the listing needs updating due to some recent changes.Based on the photo, the description and numerous previous reviews, we thought we would be greeted by a couple of professionals, one small dog and one cat. Now Gabrielle is hosting alone, and she has a second dog. We were traveling as a couple wanting to stay at the home of another couple so we came with a set of expectations based on an outdated listing.
Also, the addition of a second very cute but frisky white dog makes for a different mix. Had there been just the one calm bulldog, we could have enjoyed petting and playing with him in the living room. But when a puppy joined the household, it meant Gabrielle had to fence off her kitchen so that neither dog would fly out the front door. Although she invited us to use the kitchen, access to it was not as easy it would have been with just one dog. We were always concerned about keeping the two dogs safely inside the house.
Our trip to Modesto was to take care of business that spanned two days. We had an unexpectedly busy morning and appreciated the flexibility keep our keys until the early afternoon.
We stayed for just one night at Gabrielles house but she provided really everything you could ask for. The room and bathroom was very clean and comfortable. Thank you so much for hosting us and sorry we were too tired to talk more with you!
Gabrielle was a lovely host, she allowed us to arrive late to her home and showed us to our room at the end of the house and allowed us to have a bathroom to ourselves. The bed was large and comfy and the room offered a TV, wifi and a large sofa to put our bags on. Gabrielle was lovely to talk to and even let us play with her lovely dogs! It was a perfect place to stay on our way towards Yosemite. Thanks Gabrielle!
Gabrielle is a very kind person, she welcomed us very well even if we arrived quite late. We appreciated to discuss with her before leaving. Thank you again !
I am a pretty laid back, travel loving, dreamer. I sell real estate here in Modesto after living in a few different cities and countries for the past 12 years. I'm love meeting new people and sharing experiences and opportunities.
