Very nice house overlooking the bay of Positano, just a short walk from the center and from the main beach, "La Shore" with garden terrace of 200sqm, of historical interest, there was filmed 50s "Lions in the Sun" by Vittorio Caprioli, Rolling Stones and Mario Schifani stayed.
funktioniert.Wir kommen gerne wieder. Danke Stefania und Madelaine
Dear friends, I'm really happy that you enjoyed the charm of a typical home on the Amalfi coast, though there were small problems I apologize, but I would be very flattered to be able to welcome you again in the house most scenic of Positano.
Thank you very very much.
With love, Stefania e Madelaine.
Stefania was an amazing host and the Positano house is a wonderful place to stay for a week. We were visiting in the 'off' season, in late November, and while the weather didn't 'quite' cooperate (there was snow at 500m above town), it was a great week and the house was wonderful to stay in. While the house is on the main street heading east out of Positano, we did not find it noisy at all, and enjoyed being close to everything. We were also traveling with a little baby, 14 months, and Stefania arranged a crib and stroller and even a ride from the train station and back with a baby seat. She really went out of her way to settle us in and it was a great week.
One of our best Airbnb experiences to date! The house is very charming and historic with an unreal garden overlooking the cove and beach...it is truly magical. The house was very well appointed and in a terrific location. Roberto guided us on his moped to our house the first night and cold beer and water were waiting for us in the fridge! Too much!
We stayed here for 10 days in September 2013 and found this house to be perfect in every way. The house is central and is only a short walk from the beach and town. The rear garden also provides a lovely private area to enjoy the incredible views.
The house is very clean, spacious and well equipped, including the kitchen.
We saw there were some previous comments about the outside noise. Positano is a very busy town and there will always be noise. There were four of us and none of us were troubled by the noise.
We also had a private car and Stefania went out of her way to book parking for us nearby.
Stefania was the perfect host and made our time in Positano very special. She was easily contactable and provided a great insight to Positano. I highly recommend her house to anyone visiting Positano. We would all stay here again without any hesitation.
We stayed in Stefania's villa for 3 nights in August and we had a fantastic stay.
The villa is typically Italian, lovely and rustic, hugely spacious with a wonderful garden and breathtaking views.
Stefania communicated very well before our arrival and gave us a comprehensive tour of the villa followed by beers and snacks on the terrace - a lovely touch.
The villa had everything that we needed and location wise was perfect for us.
We were a little worried about the noise from the road as the bedrooms look out over it, but it was absoutely fine (with or without ear plugs) and we all slept very well.
The price is also very good and extremely competitive for Positano.
Overall, we had a brilliant time and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this villa and the lovely Stefania - we would have stayed a lot longer than 3 days if we could!
This place may seem expensive, however, it's worth the extra cost. We arrived at Stefania's home with the warmest welcome I have ever experience while traveling outside of the U.S. She greeted my whole family with open arms as if we were a part of her own. There was a pizza in the oven and champagne waiting for us when we arrived. Stefania and her Husband were exceptionally kind and they made our stay at the Positano House unforgettable.
Their recommendations were fantastic as well. Cassiopeia!
Very kind and helpful owner that ensured our stay in Positano was great, both in terms of the house but also in relation to activities, parking, restaurants etc. It is a beautiful old house with a grass garden and a stunning view over Positano - perfect for long breakfasts, lunches and dinners at home when desired. With a central location in Positano and the main one-way road outside the door, most of the things in Positano is a walk away. The flip side is that the traffic outside the house may be disturbing for sleep sensitive people which require complete silence during night. I would recommend my friends to rent this house.
Thank you Marcus, I' m so glad to have had the opportuniity to meet such a nice and kind people like you and your friends. Next step for improve the house will be to solve the problem for sleep sensitive people staying in summer when a lot of people come to Positano. I' ll change the glasses of the windows, SURELY !
You will have one of the best views in Positano but the house is old, has two bedrooms(not 3), has old windows and last but not least It is situated between two roads. The motobikes rides under the windows and above the roof during 20 hours a day. The noise is slightly stops at 2AM and then starts again around 6AM. We have discovered this problem at the first night. My parents had have to rent other house to have a good sleep. I've desided to left in the house and has sleep like I was sleep directly on the road. For me it was fun)) Then I was charged for the full price after late checkout around 3PM.
It' s unusual that a young person thinks to come to Positano for sleeping instead of enjoying and being glad to find all the town offers a few steps from the house. Why he did'nt tell about welcome with Prosecco and pizza, about garden of the house not usual in a place like it, about the fact that he booked for 3 people and came in 4, about the fact he wanted to leave a day before but stayed in the house till 3 pm instead of leaving not later than 10 am in the day he decided to leave? I think it's s better stop here.
Stefania's house is gorgeous and she is a very kind and generous host! We had very, very good experience. Stefania went out of her way to help out and is extremely thoughtful, attentive and a very genuine person. We had all the help we needed during our stay and even had our own personal 'Concierge', Roberto, who answered all our questions and helped at any time with any enquiry. There was fresh fruit and pastries for us on arrival and even a very welcome chilled glass of Prosecco! Such a kind thought.
The house is comfortable, light and airy with the most beautiful garden terrace overlooking Positano town, the beach and the Li Galli islands. Perfect for cocktails at sunset!
It is situated very conveniently, there is a bar a few metres away, a food shop a few minutes walk and plenty of shopping along the streets on the way down to the beach. The local bus stop and the bus from Sorento stops on the corner which is 1 minute walk.
The house set up is simple and has all you will need for your stay. We didn't want to cook dinner and instead visited the numerous great restaurants in the town. We made lunch at home a couple of times and picked fresh basil and salad greens from the garden. The two double bedrooms are huge and both with their own bathroom, perfect for two couples or two singles travelling separately.
I can highly recommend this gorgeous house and our generous host, Stefania.
