LAURO, is named after it's high laurel hedge which surrounds the private garden with a sunny view to the Olive grove and further, in the distance, to the city of Siena.
In the living-room is a couch-bed for 1 more guest and a kitchenette specially designed, in the wooden wardrobe. Fridge, water boiler, coffee machine and all the necessary for cooking is there.
Wifi, A/C, SAT TV
From May the large swimming-pool is open with deckchairs, umbrellas, and a Coffee bar.

The space

The apartment is on the SE side of the building, with a beautiful view onto the olive grove and at the distance the tower of Siena can be seen. The pool is only a few steps away with its lovely garden, deckchairs and umbrellas. The unpaved road has recently been repaired and is no problem even with small cars.
Covered Parking space.

Guest access

Your apartment LAURO has its own private garden. The space around the Farmhouse is divided by the guests' own private gardens. There is a paved passage to the pool for you. You can use the front garden, and - of course - the surrounding country roads for walking, jogging. We recommend not to enter into the vineyards which have an electric fence. (against wild boars and deers)

Eva's place is located about 1.5 km off the main road, so prepare to do a little off roading. It has beautiful views of chianti. Eva welcomed us warmly upon check in. Didn't get the chance to use the pool, but it looked like a nice place to relax. We wanted to try the wine that is made there but never got a response to the inquiry we sent via Airbnb messaging while we were there. The apartment is a bit darker than pictures posted and a little musty. Please note that there is a city tax that must be paid per night in cash upon check out.

This is a fantastic spot in Tuscany. There are a few other apartments in the house, but this is a great spot for a couple (or a few more). The kitchen is small, but you’ve got some burners and a toaster oven. The WiFi can be spotty, but it’s an old brick house so it’s understandable. Eva and Fabrizio were delightful. Get the breakfast, have a cappuccino and start your day right. The patios around the house were great, we only wished for a slightly warmer weather to enjoy the immaculate pool. Castellina has a small grocery store and a few restaurants. It’s a little bit of a drive off the main highway, but it was a beautiful spot to be. Will definitely be back!

We only stayed three days and I wish we had stayed a week. It's simply a fairy tale to stay at this location and drive around Tuscany. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful. We purchased a bottle of delicious wine from their vineyard and drank it while watching a beautiful view. I can't say good enough things about this place!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Klara's vineyard. Her team went out of their way to ensure we had a clean room. This is a very authentic, rustic home with the charms of a countryside farm, so be sure to set your expectations as such.

We loved the farm especially the pool. It was very hot and we were disappointed that the AC unit did not cool the room. It was August and very hot. I don't think this is an issue for most of the year. We loved the view, the cars, wild boar and foxes.

Thank you for your hospitality, Eva & Fabrizio! We only spent one night here, but, as stated, it was a lovely glimpse into Tuscan farm life, away from the hustle and bustle of the cities. I would highly recommend requesting an olive oil and/or wine tasting, and purchasing fresh foods from the markets in Castellina in Chianti prior to your arrival. If you visit in the summer, be sure to bring insect repellant, and you will happily be able to enjoy the stunning views while dining al fresco. Don't forget your swimsuit as well to enjoy the pool. FYI, it is quite warm in the heat of the summer. Although there is A/C in the main living area, I may suggest traveling with a fan to keep the bedroom cool for sleeping.

Response from Eva Klara:
Thanks Rachel for your thorough inspection. We plan to add AC next year to this unit. However our farmhouse is the only one in the neighborhood to have air conditioning in the apartments, as usually at 450 mts above sea level the nights are cool. Maybe this year is an exemption, as the hottest in 100 years. But only our American guests feel AC is a must.

Simply Divine!! Everything we hoped for in a romantic country getaway. Close enough to town and sights, yet far enough from distractions. Eva and her husband were gracious and helpful in every way. I strongly recommend the breakfast, we fell in love with the fresh ingredients. Oh! Don't forget the pool! Swimming and reading poolside, with the beautiful house in the backdrop and manacured yard, it's a dream.
