Comfy home, not the Ritz a far cry from a Super 8. Within walking distance of Autzen. Shopping, running trails, nice yard and garden for bbq's and sitting around the fire. Guest room updated with new paint, carpet, curtains and bedding. Pillows!

The space

Comfy private home, 2 bdr w/queen beds, 1 1/2 bath, nice garden, two miles north of downtown. Older country cottage style with large yard, central location. New carpeting and paint in Guest bedroom 2/2015.
Kitchen access, wireless, home owner sometimes home, sometimes on the road. The whole house listing is only available when I'm gone for business or leave during peak stay events in Eugene.

Bedrooms are upstairs and include owner's room and spare (Guest) room that is often rented individually. Queen beds in each room. Both bathrooms are on main floor. You have exclusive use of the half bath, and share the full bath if you are just renting the spare room.. Towels, soap and shampoo provided like any motel. But the goal is for you to enjoy access and use of the whole house, including kitchen and refrigerator space.

Four major grocery stores, and three shopping centers nearby. Motel 6 is $59 off I 5 or higher. Ridiculous...Stay with me, friendly comfort, better bed, free wireless, full kitchen, close to campus and downtown for less.
Oakway shopping center, Gateway Mall and Valley River Center all nearby.
Near river bikepaths, Pre's Trail, parks in every direction.
Owner is often away so you may have the place to yourself, but he is also quiet, respectful and doesn't have to entertain you if you want your space.
Both bathrooms are on main floor. Towels, soap and shampoo provided like any motel. But the goal is for you to enjoy access and use of the whole house, including kitchen and refrigerator space.
During the summer you can eat blueberries, cherries, strawberries, raspberries and vegies from "your" own garden.
I've learned a better way to invite guest to be comfortable. Imagine you are staying with an old college (URL HIDDEN) not the Ritz, but not Motel 6 either.

Guest access

Full house access. Space in frigerator, personal use of half bath when renting just the guest room. Everything when renting whole house. Fenced back yard for dogs.

Interaction with guests

As much or as little as they desire.

Welcome to my humble home. I hope you will feel comfortable, as if you were staying at the home of an old college roommate. Other than drinking the last beer in the refrigerator or leaving the bathroom a mess I'm pretty casual and want your stay to be restful and enjoyable.
Airbnb suggests posting house rules so here is what I have come up with:
NO smoking, no 420 sorry.
Use the half bath as your own, towels, soap, shampoo provided
Share the full bath with owner if you are just renting the guest room. For the full house listing it is all yours.
Enclosed tub/shower
Closet space in guest room
Full use of the kitchen, space provided in refrigerator
Coffee, tea, cocoa provided. Milk, sugar (sorry no cream usually)
Breakfast of sourdough pancakes, eggs provided upon request the night before when owner is home
Wireless Network Snowmystr (Capital S) Password if they block it here it will be on a note on the dining table 543 this is not a phone numb(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) and 1 all combined no spaces will give you wireless internet access. If you need to plug in there is a cable near the modem.
Wireless printer Canon MG 2922 WS or use cable from printer.
Be mellow. If you stay for a week, help mow the lawn
Turn out all lights at night except for light in half bath
Key does not work in front doorknob, just deadbolts, use care to not lock doorknob I don't carry a key for it.
When I am home I usually leave the back door unlocked. If you aren't comfortable with that go ahead and lock up
Outdoor key lockbox available if you misplace your key – code (7669)
During summer help graze through the garden lots of berries, fresh greens, veggies
On LTD (city) bus line – for route information check Lane Transit District website for schedule.
2 miles north of downtown, near shopping centers, bike paths and running trails
Bicycle use possible if you let me know in advance road with clip-in pedals and Mt. Bike.
Inline skates? Men's 10.5 and women's 5.5

Randy was a great host. The house was tidy at all times. He is more than willing to make you meals if he has time and he's always happy to sit and chat and tell stories. The neighborhood is very comfortable and close to grocery stores, restaurants and downtown. We had a great stay! Thank you Randy!

Randy was a great host. Super friendly and knowledge about the area. He gave us access to the whole house even though we were only using the one bedroom. Good location close to freeways and shopping, etc. Room was very comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay and would do it again if we're passing through that way.

Randy made life EASY for me and my pups, and that's exactly what we needed this weekend. The place was comfortable and clean. Had everything we could've needed. I would LOVE to return again in the future!

I arrived in Eugene without knowing anyone and Randy has helped me with my new transition. He has welcomed me and my dog to stay with him, he has been very generous and helpful. My dog absolutely adores and loves him. Randy has been very accommodating and resourceful about where to shop and visit around Eugene. My dog and I have been very lucky to stay with him and I hope to extend my stay even longer. My travel experience in Oregon has been so far amazing and he has helped contribute to that. Randy is a wonderful person, host, and friend. My dog and I has very much enjoyed being a guest at his house=)

We had a great stay at Randy's. He made coming and going very easy and he communicated well with us to let us know when he wouldn't be around. He pointed me in the direction of a beautiful trail run along the Willamette River less than a mile from his home. Thanks, Randy!

Single, divorced male. Active in the sports industry. Lifelong Eugenean with a few stints living elsewhere around the west. Know the town well and love to share that knowledge with visitors.
Emptynester with a room to rent, and occasionally the whole home may be available when I travel. consider if you stay with me it's like staying with an old college roommate or distant relative. I keep my house clean and fairly tidy. But I'm the housekeeping and maintenance guy too.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge of Eugene and surrounding area. Will cook breakfast with advance notice, homemade sourdough pancakes, fresh coffee and shared conversation.
