  • An oasis within paradise. Attention to details like we'd never experienced. Marcie and Mike are long-time residents of Sayulita offering a wealth of information to all guests; whether first-timers or repeat visitors. There is no doubt, we'll be back.

  • I booked Casa Salate for my honeymoon in February. It was exactly what I was looking for - clean, modern, pool, artsy and a Mexican feel. We were greeted by Mike and he made us feel immediately at home. He even had a welcome bottle of champagne to honor us on our new marriage. The Casa was fully equipped. More importantly, you can flush toilet paper here. Many rentals and hotels don't allow this due to the plumbing. The king size bed was uber comfortable. With the ceiling fans, it never got to warm. As an added bonus, the unit had a flat screen/DVD player. In the closer were bins with hundreds of DVD's to choose from. There was a outdoor shower as well as an indoor shower. The pool was also a great addition when we felt "beached out". The entire property was spectacular. It was short walk to the beach and a bit of a walk to town, but with many restaurants along the way. We will definitely come back again and again.

  • Our stay at Casita Salate was very relaxing. The house is beautiful, spacious and clean. It's located right by the beach and is a short walk away from the plaza. This part of the neighborhood is quiet. Accommodations were great: the bed was very comfortable, having the option of AC was great when the nights were hot, the pool was a great place to return to at the end of the day, and the outdoor shower is a nice touch as well. The house is secured and they provided a place for our rental car and a safe for our travel docs. Marcie and Mike were both on-site and able to answer questions and were very nice and helpful in recommending places to eat and visit. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

About
Marcie & Mike Cavanagh own Casita Salate and manage Casita Siete Palmas and Casa Agua Azul. We moved permanently to Sayulita in 2006 from Northern California, USA. We both love Mexico and its deeply rooted culture. We look forward to making your trip to Sayulita a memorable one. Sayulita is rich in tourism but also rich in culture. If you look around town, on the beaches, and in local art galleries; you will see traditional folk art made by Sayulita's local artisans and Huichol people. Come stay in Sayulita for its beautiful mix of vacationers and local culture.
