The Space

This unique and very personal Villa offers a superb space to both share and socialize either inside or out. Whilst still being able to enjoy quite time alone when needed with an extra cosy lounge on the mezzanine level and two enclosed private courtyards. Additionally its very central and an ideal location making it within minutes from everything you will need for your stay be it as a tourist to get around or the simple things like supermarkets, restaurants and public transport all within a 5 minute walk.

We love to do the little extra things that count and so you will find the villa is always immaculately clean, pleasant little surprises and touches to delight you in addition to the manicured gardens, high quality fittings, fixtures, furnishings with pretty linen and luxurious soft cushioning.

You won't be sharing this property with anyone just all to yourselves, it is rented as a whole apartment with exclusive use.

All kitchen equipment is provided just as if you were at home with a full fan forced oven, a BBQ in the rear courtyard, microwave, coffee maker ,toaster, juicer, kettle and a full family sized fridge. Little extra's include a rice cooker, popcorn maker, blender, George Foreman Grill and even a foot spa upon request. If there is something you would like just ask.

The courtyards are well maintained one front and another at the rear to enjoy both for entertaining and relaxing as one or a group. The front Courtyard offers a pretty vista from several rooms with sliding doors to bring the outside areas indoors ideal in summer.

There is secured garaging with a remote for a car and extra parking on the premises for a second car included free of charge. All windows have security mesh on them for your comfort and a security system for the premises.Laundry facilities are included in a separate laundry so no need for the laundromat when you stay here.

We have 5 properties across Perth we offer and have been welcoming guests for over 8 years now as a family to our beloved Perth.

The kids just love the water park at the end of the street for hours guaranteed.

Breakfast cereals, tea , coffee, and fresh milk is available upon arrival. If you are arriving after hours or would just like some groceries on-hand for your arrival this service can be arranged via email with a list and payment upon arrival of the receipted amount from the supermarket with no additional charges.

  • First time meeting with Brenda and I must say it was pleasant. She was perfectly organized and even had so much info on the work table, including brochures, street maps, to places and food & drink. One will never get lost.
We loved her house, it was really neat, clean and comfortable.
Very convenient to get to Swan Valley vineyards, Caversham Wildlife park etc. It was even easier to get to town.
She even had coffee, milk, bread, jam ready for all of us. So, we didn't really need to go out to the supermarket once we arrived.
It was just great staying in her place.
Will definitely make another trip there soon.

  • Went to Perth with 5 friends, and we were really happy with Brenda's home. The house is also at a really ideal location, a short drive from the airport, and a short drive to the city centre. It is exactly like what you see in the pictures, and much more. The house was really clean and tidy. Brenda provided everything you needed for comfortable living, from kitchen needs to bathroom needs.

Brenda was a really gracious host. She greeted us at her place and made sure we felt comfortable there, and filled us in on whatever we should know about the place. She was also very helpful, as she provided lots of suggestions on where we could go and gave us tips and directions for the itinerary we had planned.

Overall, my friends & I were really pleased with our experience with Brenda and we would definitely stay here if we visit Perth again!

  • Brenda and her husband greeted us when we arrived in the evening for a 2 night stay. She guided us through the house in careful detail and recommended us to eat at Mount Lawley and to avoid the fried rice across the street! She stocked up on milk, biscuits and instant porridge for us and even had small chocolates placed in our bedrooms. Knowing that we come from a warm country like Singapore where we are not very used to the cold, she turned on the heater in the living room for us before we arrived. That was really thoughtful. Thank you. The house included a kitchen as well as a nice BBQ pit behind which we didn't use. Her place was also convenient, about 10mins drive to Crown Perth casino and to other parts of the city. The house had 3 really nice comfy and well decorated bedrooms and a garage for our 7 seater kluger. We had a group of 5 including my boyfriend and his family and we all really enjoyed our stay. The house was really warm and cosy. Would love to stay at Brenda's place again! Thanks again for the wonderful experience Brenda!

  • Brenda's house in Maylands is a beautiful home. Immaculately presented and well equipped. I really enjoyed staying there and found it very relaxing.
Brenda is a great host - good communication and very welcoming on arrival, providing a quick tour of the accommodation.
I will definitely be coming back.

  • The house was absolutely perfect for our needs and Brenda was a wonderful host.
Everything you could possibly expect to need was provided and the house was in great condition and beautifully decorated.
Brenda was always on hand should there be any questions and even took the time to meet us at the house on arrival and provide a guided tour and offer a wealth of information on the local area and Perth in general.
Thank you for a fabulous stay!!

  • The house was perfect for our family of five--spacious enough, well appointed, and very comfortable. There were lots of nice touches like travel toiletries in the bathroom, good linens on the beds, and fresh flowers throughout. We especially liked the back patio, which was a nice place for coffee in the mornings and drinks in the evenings. Cole's grocery store is only a few blocks away so we saved money by preparing breakfast and many dinners at home. There's not much to do or see in Maylands itself, but it's convenient to both the airport and downtown Perth. We found it convenient to have a rental car, but public transportation is within walking distance (about 10 minutes). Brenda was an outstanding hostess and quickly responded by email to all our questions, both before our arrival and during our stay. "City Chic" was an ideal home-away-from-home and the perfect base from which to explore Perth.

  • We were awed by the stylish yet homely decor and overall cleanliness of the house. The facilities were great as it has everything we needed, and more! Brenda has been most thoughtful in providing plenty of reading materials on getting about in Perth, cute party wares which we used for our bbq, baby tub, cot, extra beddings, child-safety gate for the stairways, and even games! There was absolutely no lack of anything. I especially love the fully equipped and functional kitchen. I could cook for my toddler who is still pretty much on home-cooked food. The back yard is great for bbq as we had a great time on the last night of our stay. The beddings were fantastic as well (better than some of the hotels we have stayed in) and everyone had a good night sleep every night. I am also especially happy with the evaporative air-con for the entire house as that meant 100% fresh air - excellent choice for my boy who has asthma and allergies tendencies.

Brenda is an outstanding host who goes the extra mile for her guests. We almost got stranded with no petrol on the road one night and called Brenda. Though she was not in Perth, she had offered some reassuring advice for us through the phone which helped.

I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a cosy and well-stocked house to stay in. Exceeded my expectations.

    Response from Brenda:

Thank you Shann, it's so nice to know that our efforts to provide what we would appreciate when we travel is warmly received. It makes us very happy to be able to give what we can to families who make the effort to travel to our country and soak up all that it has to offer and a place to stay is a large part of that experience in our minds.Brenda

  • Brenda is such an excellent host! When we arrived at the house, she was already standing outside welcoming us! She explained to us clearly the amenities in the house and then recommended us places to visit on the maps. Brenda even has coffee, tea, milk, cereal etc in the kitchen for us to use! The house is so clean and beautiful, my parents and friend love it! It's our first Airbnb stay and we love it so much! There's even a BBQ for us to use but unfortunately, we did not have the time to have BBQ. We'll definitely choose this place to stay again when we're in Perth again next time!

Thank you Evelyn, it was a delight to have you stay with us and would welcome you back anytime. Regards brenda

  • Staying at Brenda's place was just like being at home, only better! The house has everything you could ask for - we had a blast (email hidden), BBQ-ing, and generally lounging around the house. The house was clean, well-equipped and very comfortable. The location is great (we drove), and is especially convenient for the Swan valley. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in Perth.

Today I am blissfully semi retired, love to travel and dabble in all things life throws my way. I originally qualified as a High School Art and English Literature teacher in the mid 80's fresh out of school and big dreams of a career that allowed a family, creativity and travel. As life is I started in one direction and ended up in another only to be mixing both today with my little getaways and homestays. For the most recent 20 years I followed a career path that lead to Senior Postions across the country in all types of facilities management from Resorts to Casino's to Hospitals and Schools. So it is no surprise that after a few years of retiring I find myself decorating houses and welcoming guests on a very personal and managable level mixing both what I know and what I love. My partner and I have 5 properties in total in and around Western Australia, Perth and Fremantle, that keeps me just occupied enough to still travel and enjoy life with my family. The family these days consist of a lucky only son in his early 20's, 3 adorable dogs (being a Cavalier called Cassie, a Bichion called Boo Boo and a Huntaway called Chizel), a bird which is a South American Sun Conure affectionatly called Chu Chi who has more character than I can imagine and enough Koi and fish to keep me counting for days amongst my partner Nino's Aquaponics. I still have a massive studio that I really should spend more time in but there plenty of time for that when retirement restricts me more to a chair I suspect :) Travel has been abundant in the past 8 years to the UK, US, Italy, Asia, Japan, New Zealand and of course our own backyard. Which leaves a very big desire to get to Europe in the coming years and making friends via the BNB process around the world opens so many of those doors.
