About This Listing
Located right at the end of the famous Freedom Trail, this fabulous one bedroom garden apartment with pull-out queen sofabed is just steps from the Bunker Hill Monument. Excellent and convenient location to explore Boston. Very private, quiet, and clean. With private entry, small yard - great for the summer months! - and laundry located in the unit. NEW! Just added a cable TV (July 2013)
Charlestown is a well-established, historic, and beautiful gas-light district with Victorian red-brick rowhouses and parks. Walking distance to a number of local restaurants, but also to the North End and the Navy Yard - a decommissioned navy yard now home to an active district filled with the USS Constitution ( i.e. Old Ironsides), several museums, residences, parks, restaurants, and million dollar views of downtown Boston! A ferry ($3) runs directly from the Navy Yard to the Aquarium and other sights downtown including Quincy Market, the Greenway Parks, TD Banknorth Garden, and museums nearby in Fort Point (ICA and Children's museum).
A range of public transit options are available: ferry, bus, subway, and bike share. Or you can simply walk most places! Better yet, parking in Charlestown on the weekend does not require a permit. During the week, several parking garages are located a 5-10 minute walk away (charging anywhere from $12-$21 depending on the duration).
This place is ideal for business travelers looking for a convenient place to stay while working downtown or in Kendall Square, couples, or families with younger children who are looking for laundry and a small outdoor space.
Absolutely no smoking or pets. Please note that the sleeping accommodations include one real bed and one pullout sofabed.
Kitchen basics (salt, sugar, olive oil, etc.) will be provided, but guests are expected to do their own grocery shopping. Recycling and disposal of waste at the end of the stay is also asked.
At the end of the visit, we kindly ask that you strip the bed and place the sheets in the hamper next to the washer and dryer. Thank you!

The host was very helpful and responsible. She actually showed us how to enter the house. There was everything that we needed to stay. The house is located in very nice residential neighbourhood. It was convenient that a bus stop bound for downtown is very close. We also loved the garden, which was a perfect place for breakfast.
Description matches reality! Corey has a very lovely and convenient apartment. The Bunker Hill Monument is about 500 feet away! City bus is half a block away, and the "T" (train) is more like a mile away but quite walkable. She provided bus and train schedules which were very helpful. The Navy Yard and ferry were less than 1/2 mile from the apartment. Loved the location in Charlestown. And, Corey makes some killer banana muffins! We loved Boston & Corey as a great host.

Great and place and location!! Corey is extremely well provided and she's very nice and helpful host.
Corey's apartment was exactly as described. It was a very nice place to call home for a few days while in town for the Frozen Four. The neighborhood was safe, and a walkable distance to many restaurants, bars, grocery, and the TD Garden across the bridge.
Corey made us feel very welcome! She gave us plenty of privacy, but at the same time was extremely responsive during our stay.
I highly recommend this spot for weekend explorers of the Boston area.
For two adult couples (all four of us in our early thirties) visiting Boston for a few days, we were very pleased with our stay in Corey’s downstairs/basement apartment.
Corey’s home is located in a beautiful and very safe neighborhood in Charlestown (bordering the Bunker Hill Monument), which is a convenient 20-minute walk to and from Boston’s North End neighborhood, and a 15-minute drive from Boston Logan airport.
We did not spend much time in the apartment, except to sleep and eat breakfast, and Corey’s apartment was absolutely perfect for that. Both the bed and the pullout sofa were extremely comfortable, and each of us had very restful nights’ sleep. The apartment was very clean and tidy; because the apartment was located at the street level we did not have to climb any stairs, and we were able to comfortably store our large pieces of luggage.
Corey was also very kind and responsive, and even brought down homemade breakfast treats one morning ☺
