Nice and lighty two double bedrooms flat, recently renewed, modern, quite comfortable and best located, quite close to Passeig del Born, Picasso Museum, Barceloneta, Rambles, etc!
This flat has been renewed, everything is clean and functioning in it. It has one double room with a quite comfortable double bed, another double room with a single bed and a sofa-bed also. The living room and the kitchen is nice equiped for 4 persons. There are 3 balconies too, all spaces are exterior ones, the living room has a directly view to a big and open square of Picasso Museum, with a lot of sun and light.
The flat is in a 3º floor, as most of buildings at Born it has not elevator, but the flat enjoy of a nice view at living room to the open sky and to Picasso Musseum, in the opposite front to Cirera Street, in the middle the flat has also a light square more, so it's a quite cross ventilated flat, with lot of natural light and without noise! (you'll feel in the middle of Bcn as in a town, you'll see really!)
No pets and, preferent no smokers, no parties because the building and the street is a very quiet one and with the neighbourgs we have an agreement to limitate noisy or unrespectously behavours, and we are glad to cooperate ones with each other to mantain this quality of urban life at our location.
The flat is in a quite quiet pedestrian street (there are any bars), quite close to Passeig del Born, Ciutadella Park, Barceloneta and beaches, Ramblas, the Port Vell, Cathedral, Santa Maria del Mar, Raval, Plaça Catalunya, Arc de Triomph, Passeig de Gracia, etc.
You can reach the flat from airport by train (most cheapest option in Bcn), leaving in Estació de França (300mts walk to the flat).
I hope you enjoy it so much!
No smokers, no pets, no parties, quiet life in all the building and in the street.
We thank you in advance.
It was wonderful choice. All is well for family-living and the location is great. Recommended!
Enjoyed our stay! Flat in great location for el born/gothic quarter and reasonably priced compared to other flats in the area. Nice bright living area with big window/balconies looking onto a square. Flat was well presented and although not sparkling clean there was nothing that overly concerned us. Isabel was a good host. She communicated promptly with us, met us when we arrived and explained everything we needed to know about the flat. She also provided some useful maps and leaflets about attractions in Barcelona. Would recommend her flat if you are looking for a great base to see the sights of the beautiful city of Barcelona.
We chose this apartment because of it's location in the El Born (website hidden)
The location of the apartment did not disappoint. However, we were very upset of the condition of the apartment. I realize that air b n b charges guests for a "cleaning fee" and this apartment did not meet the standards. There were ants in the kitchen and the bathroom needed to be cleaned.
Gloria was very nice and accommodating and quick to answer any of our questions.
1) AWESOME location. I cant stress this enough. Fantastic.
2) Nice, roomy and comfortable
3) lots of landmarks, restaurants, bars, plazas and stores all around
1) 57 stairs and no lift. ONLY a problem if youre lazy, elderly or disabled.
2) Could use some fans during the summer to fight the heat
WOULD I RETURN: DEFINITELY
I never got to meet Isabel personally, just via email and whatsapp. She seemed nice enough, though. It wasnt terribly difficult finding the appartment even though the streets in El Born neighborhood are all small and kind of confusing at first, due greatly because the building is located right next to the famous Picasso Museum. When we got to the neighborhood we had to wait quite a while for Isabel's assistant to present herself. We later realized it was a lady that was taking pictures leisurly while my brother and I waited outside the building with our bags. But once she did come up to us, she more than made up for her late response. She took us up to the appartment, got us settled in and then gave us a small tour of the neighborhood and nearby hotspots. She was very informative, answered all of our questions and was very pleasurable overall.
Once we got back to the appartment, my brother and I started unpacking and then hit the streets. I have to say, the appartment is located BEAUTIFULLY. Youre right in the heart of the trendy Born neighborhood, with tons of restaurants, bars, stores, etc, all around you. There is the Born Plaza with some interesting ancient Roman ruins less than 3 minutes walking distance and if you feel like going to the world famous Las Ramblas or the equally chic (just different architecture) Gothic Quarters, you can walk there in 5 minutes. You can also walk to La Barceloneta beach in around 15 minutes once you know where youre going.... and, well I cant stress enough how WELL LOCATED this place is.
The appartment itself was very nice. Very clean, very roomy, easily fit around 5 people depending on couples situations. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was nice.
My only warning for future groups is that you need to walk exactly 57 steps in a narrow staircase to get to the appartment. It was ok with me and my brother since were both young and could carry our 35 - 45 pound bags easily, but its something to consider in case youre travelling with elderly companions or if youre not fit enough to take your bags upstairs, since there is no lift.
I definetely recommend this palce for groups of 2 - 6. Adding more people is possible, but you lose some confort. When I go back to Barcelona, Im definetely staying at Isabel's
The apartment is in a great location, and had pretty much everything one would need. Isabel made us feel very welcomed, and was constantly available to answer our messages whenever we had a question. The one problem is that we paid around $70 for cleaning fee, but it was clear that the house was not cleaned by professionals when we arrived. When you pay a $70 cleaning fee, you expect to see shiny clean floors, no dust, and a spotless bathroom and fridge. The house wasn't filthy, but it wasn't cleaned by professionals who were paid the $70 cleaning fee.
This airbnb is in an excellent, trendy location accessible to most everything you will want to see in Barcelona. We saw a lot on our trip and staying here, we never had to travel too far.
The apartment itself is cosy and has a lot of natural light which I liked, and it is was very convenient to be able to have a kitchen to make breakfast on early days. I would reccommend this listing!

I'll tell you something about me. I study a master at Barcelona University (Geography), I don't smoke and I love quiet life. I visit freqüently my familiy i out of BCN and make many study visiits, so I use to share my space, in this sense I want let you know it's not a flat fit to pemanent high level turist renting, it's only my home in Barcelona, I believe you'll find there a nice place to be happy and not so expensive as others!t
